lol and thx for the welcome, CinnaMon and Copago *bowing*...as far as the timing of the cricket's concerned, one just has to be Directly Above The Centre Of The Earth At All Times and then they play at a reasonable time.....simple, really :-)

cheers skunkee...from the 'rainbow' south.....not PC to be 'Darkest Africa' these days, what with the African Renaissance and all.....and while I wish it were true, I don't hold out much hope....in the short term anyway...you from Alaska, or Canada....*not quite making out the accent*

I very much agree with Sat on this one...it has been my experience that once a hippie, always a hippie, actually. One merely graduates from wearing bells in their hair and roaming the streets barefoot to a lifestyle ..um..well, a tad more cumbersome, anyway [ generally with a mortgage attached]
No one would guess by my completely tame appearance these days that I lived in a teepee for a while, and ground my own chick peas. And at least in my heart - I am still grinding my own chick peas, no matter what my outer facade tells people.

Make yourself at home on these forums, and I 'm sure you'll enjoy meeting the folks here.

You're right, Sat and Kt.....why try and pretend.....if I can manage to get my pic up, everyone will know the awful truth anyway....that I'm actually an unregenerate degenerate( spent too much time with the Gene-Besserit[sp?]).....and the sp Doesn't stand for Spice.. ;-)...it's Tough in Africa, sigh.

I welcome you, zombat, while clutching my dog-eared copies of Ginsberg, Kerouac and Corso. I'm glad you're here, for several reasons. Naturally I'm glad you're here just because you're here but maybe you can answer a question that has plagued my flashback-y brain for decades: what is the difference between a hippie and a beat-nik? Is it okay to call myself a hip-nik? These are important questions, mind you . I need to get this all figured out before AARP shows up with paperwork and all. Hey...have fun, OK? You'll like it here. Welcome!
