Who, moi?

Here's the plan then for Saturday 22 July.

1. Board the ferry at West End (parking is reasonably spacious there I think)
2. First stop at Toowong - Regatta Hotel
3 Toowong to South Bank - Plough Inn
4. South Bank to Riverside - Belgium Beer Cafe and maybe the Victory or the Jade Budda
5. We could then do the longer haul down to Bretts Wharf and close off at the Hamilton Hotel or just stay in the city and head back to West End at stumps.

Basically very flexible but you will get to see a bit of everything.

What does everyone think of this?

I think it's optimistic to think that we'll get much further than the Regatta and the Plough Inn!

Don't mind him, I'll drag him along. I don't know much about Brisbane, Exit, but the plan looks good to me.

I will follow the crowd, too- I could not even find the airport last time I was up there!

My housemate just came up with a suggestion - what about New Farm Park? The Powerhouse is right next to it, and I'm sure that everyone would enjoy the scenery in the park. I spent the first 10 years of my life living around there, so I can vouch for the attraction of the place.

Does it have a bar?

Alas, alack! One of our esteemed members who was going to join us on 22 July cannot make it.
However all is not lost. Nannanut will be in town on Friday 30 June so a you beaut mini meet will be the go.

Dalgleish, Leau, Bertho and myself will also be in attendance at The Regatta (main bar) where you can eat pizza, nachos, blt etc. as well as erm drinking. It's located on Coronation Dve, Toowong arriving 7-7.30.
Don't worry if you don't recognise anyone, I will be the one wearing the yellow ribbon in my hair and a red rose in my lapel. NOT.

Ah go on, where is your sense of fun? When we had the London meet, Copago and I said we would be wearing funny hats and waving White Toblerones - and we did. At least we were easy to spot.

Do we still go with 22 July as well? Some of us have already put this in our diaries, or we could even have a reunion.

I actually thought it was red nose in lap..then read the end of the word. I really must do something about these glasses!

Forgot to mention - it's the main bar, not the restaurant, and we will stick to 22 Jul as well.

A quick note before Leau and I head off to Townsville.
The mini-meet went well on Friday night. Apart from the two of us, Exit, Nanna and Bertho were there. A quite enjoyable night was had by all, I think, and I really urge anyone who can get to the meet on July 22 to do it.
(Btw, might get a pic or two online soon)

Well Saturday 22 July is still a goer so for all of those that couldn't make the mini meet we will definitely still be going ahead.
