Has anyone else seen this movie? What did you think? I went with five other people. All five hated it. I thought it was so-so.
I am glad we had free passes, because I would have hated to pay to see it. It's more like a made for TV movie.

I have heard nothing but BAD reviews for this movie. I plan on avoiding it at all costs.

My daughter saw this movie yesterday, and hated it. She's not much of a sci-fi fan anyway, but apparently her friends also hated it. What a shame to have such a great cast associated with such a loser!

I was looking forward to this movie and was quite disappointed in it. Flat characters, horrible plot holes, and bad science (apparently they don't know the difference between chromosomes and a single strand of DNA! ). I really like Tim Robbins and Gary Sinise, but they couldn't overcome the writing. Some of the dialog was obviously there just for the audience; it was hard for me to imagine astronauts and scientists saying such obvious things to one another.
The effects were good, and the movie was moderately enjoyable, but it could have been a lot better.

I suggest waiting for the video or catching it at reduced cost.

I have to thank you guys for the reviews. My husband and I are big Sci-Fi fans and were looking forward to this movie. we're going to wait and see it at the $2 theatre now.

Thanks!

Wow i am suprised that you all gave it horrible reviews. I personaly liked the movie, i agree that about the astronauts and scientists saying obvious things to one another sand, but i thought it was good. It was rated PG and i think its good that they can still make a si fi movie with no blood and guts or fowl language.

Oh it wasn't a horrible movie, and I agree that it's good that it's PG, killroy, but I guess I was disappointed because I was expecting more. And when I see bad science in a sci-fi movie, it really turns me off. Overall it is a mediocre movie.
