Has anyone ever seen the Suzuki commercial where the guy kisses his wife goodbye in the morning, and cliff dives to his car (out the front gate of his yard) to leave for work?

Every time that comes on, I scream at the TV "But how does he get home?!"

It really bothers me.

I think the male enhancement is designed to capture people's attention even when they've turned the sound off as we always do..
It's just a little vignette then you realize it's a silly commercial from a snake oil merchant.
I'd rather than watch that one about how it's not your fault you're fat...it's hormones and if you take their pill, you won't be.

Those hormone diet pills have actually become quite a joke around my house. We start walking around like brain dead zombies and just chanting "I NEED RELACORE" every time it comes on. It's sounds kind of cheesy I know, but it's a riot when you're a little sauced

I understand the joke about the relacore..but that's coming from someone who still says, 'I've fallen and I can't get up.' when I sit in a beanbag chair!

I still say "Where's the beef?" at barbeques!

I cannot stand every single one of the Orbit Gum commericals. Especially the one of the fellow in the car smiling into the side mirror of his car as he plows through many businesses and ends up in a karate class. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I wish the caveman would have gotten his roast duck with the mango salsa a long time ago.

I agree..that has been playing for like it seems lots of years. Forever! Don't they even think about us? We are tired of the commercial but like they care.

I totally agree. Who knew that cavemen were still around.

And I bet that other caveman has worked up an appitite by now.

A lot of car commercials model poor driving, aside from raising unrealistic expectations. I can understand why companies wouldn't want to go for total reality and show their cars stuck in rush hour traffic, but why can't they show their cars in normal traffic, and model defensive driving skills? Just, you know, get the idea across that a car isn't a toy, but a piece of heavy, potentially dangerous machinery?

I'm going to apologize for this, but, I guess I've always liked geckos and I love the Geiko gecko who talks about getting pie and chips.
We actually had a gecko in our house in Hawaii who would run around the ceiling zapping insects and eek eeking.
I know many people can't stand the gecko, but, I enjoy him.

I used to like the geiko commercials.. like when the waitress scrapes the mayo off the sandwich by using the side of the table. They used to put out a new one all the time full of originality. The gecko riding in the small car, for example. Its just the agonizing caveman bit that we cannot seem to shake from seeing a thousand times in a row.

What IS the deal with that "Bob" guy's death-mask grin? Does Enzyte bring on rigor mortis? His poor "very happy missus" looks anything but, and WHY does the entire neighborhood know so much about his newly enhanced marital prowess that they are filled with respect and admiration? Creepy!

Yesterday, ON JULY 5TH!, I saw a back-to-school commercial!

How Ridiculous is that!?!

Oh boy, are they trying to depress us or what?
Now, you live in PA, so, I lived there for about six years myself. Do they have year round school there? I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Here in my neighborhood the kids have tracking or year round classes, so they might need it in the middle of the summer.

I think the Bob commercial is supposed to be funny and campy. I think they designed it with the retro look.

Uh oh, this news just breaking....I went to get a picture of Bob for others to see what we're going on about, and looks like he's going to get that smile wiped off his face!
They've been raided for illegal business practices or something!

I don't know if it qualifies as "stupidest" but those Burger King commercials with the guy dressed as the "Burger King" are very creepy. I don't think I'd take it well to find that face leering in at me through one of my windows, even if it was only to come outside and play football with him.

The King is Back

...And while we're raking Burger King over the coals, so to speak - let's not forget that eerie BK commercial of a few years back. A la From Here To Eternity, a beautiful girl in a swimsuit is seen lightly skipping into breaking waves at the beach...hand in hand with a gigantic chicken nugget.

I never knew whether to be creeped out or annoyed... one day a grinning friend commented about the beastiality issues of the new commercial, and I decided we could also add necrophilia, [ since the chicken nugget was technically ' dead meat ']

Anybody else remember that one? They pulled it after a month or so.

Burger King is slipping in the marketing department.

Remember the one where Hootie sang the theme for the Bacon Cheddar Ranch. He looked sooooo embarassed.

Well, you just reminded me of one I saw when I came home about two years ago.
It was this guy and everyone told him how great he looked and he told them how he was watching what he ate...and that, KFC was on his diet!

Oh come on...if you ate the chicken without the skin, you might possibly be ok, but does anyone really do that?

I find the Burger King guy extremely creepy but then again, I'm one of those people who can't stand clowns.


I happened to not be near the remote when a new Dodge one came on...it was the new one with the Daimler president talking about trucks and cars with a German accent. The Good Ole Boy comes on and tells him he forgot to mention the HEMI then shrugs with disdain, 'these actors'.

My significant other is watching TV in the living room and I just heard another commercial that just makes me cringe: Pepto Bismol! It's not that bodily functions creep me out - I'm an RN - but the whole idea of dancing around and singing about "indigestion, diarrhea etc" is ridiculous and annoying. Wonder if they tell anybody that Pepto Bismol can make your tongue look black and hairy?

Whaaa? Good to know...

Yeah, the "Black Hairy Tongue" happens to some people, but don't worry, it goes away when you stop taking the medication.

There's another commercial that really bugs me, this one's on the radio which I usually listen to in the car. It's for something called "Skinzinc" and it's testimonials by sufferers from the heartbreak of psoriasis, singing the praises of this preparation. One of them goes like this: "Hi, I'm Tina and I used to have all these horrible red patches - look, I'm standing here in my T-Shirt and shorts..." Of course we can see you, Tina, all radios have those little viewing screens. Arrrghhh! It's come to the point that I'm changing the channel when this one comes on.
