I think the "Sonic Ads" are the most Ridiculous! I don't think getting smacked in the face is funny or intelligent..

The stupidest commercial on TV right now is the one with Sally Field and Boniva. The one where she says that she has to set aside time once a week to take other osteoporosis pills but with Boniva it is only once a month. How lame is that? She sets aside time to take a pill?

rlurker, The "set aside time once a week" is because with another one , you have to be able to sit or stand for an HOUR after taking it. You are a male (saw it in your profile before I made an assumption), so you wouldn't know what she's talking about. I took the other and it was horrible in the "heartburn" department too.

I CANNOT watch the ads for the toenail fungus medication Lamisil. The little critters crawling around under the toenail make me ill everytime I see them. That is just disgusting. Along the lines of the Mucinex critters someone else mentioned. Ugh, yuck, gross!

Is THAT what "sit or stand for an hour" means? I thought it was a strength thing! You know, if you CAN"T sit or stand you shouldn't take it. I had no idea it had to be taken sitting or standing! How interesting.

Yes, in fact with the one I take once weekly one has to not lay down for half an hour, and not eat within half an hour. Many prescriptions have restrictions such as "Take with 6 oz. water." "Do not take this medicine and drive." It is simply that there are side effects if one lays down immediately after taking medicine for osteoporosis.

I just saw an ad for "I don't know what." All I can remember is a woman standing in a man's bathroom with 6 men or so watching her. Eeuuw!

The name of the medication I was talking about is Fosamax. You are welcome for the clarification ladies!

Forgot to add that I think it is now changed to 30 minutes instead of an hour and that may be the one that you also take, Jar.

If you ask me id say roughly 90% of the commercials out there are stupid like the ones that are over enthusiastic and take things way out of proportion with huge smiles and exciting tones-like the gold kit commercials (its safe! its fast! its easy! and the gold kit is free!) or the ones that use stupid mascots that would be cool in the 60s (crazy fox, travelocity gnome, dairy queen lips, etc.) the only good ones are the superbowl ones like the life water one where the girl spills a drop and the lizard goes all matrix and catches it with his tongue, then looks like hes about to kill someone but instead starts dancing with 100 other lizards who appear from nowhere

I think that the comercial for HOUSE MD is a bit stupid, the one with the rubber gloves
