So, did what you expect happen? Were you disappointed in any of the awards? Were there any outfits that you thought were particularly ludicrous or gorgeous?

Now's your chance to discuss the whole (loooonnnnng!!!) evening!

More boring than usual! I zonked out way before the best actor/actress or best picture awards were given out.Even the dresses were dull--and I thought that most of them were unflattering on the wearer. But I loved the gorgeous necklace that Hillary Swank wore--with baubles like that you don't even need a dress.

Oh, ren--I loved that too! Have you tried Amazon.com?

I did see one dress I thought was stunnninnng. It was a red, patterned, one shoulder, sarong-style that was just dynamite on the woman wearing it (can't remember who).It was a Versace.
But the rest seemed ...eh...dull.Angelina Jolie looked like she was ready for the next Adaam's family movie. And I thought that some of the very low-cut gowns were just unflattering (including those on Salma Hayek and Cameron Diaz).
And Tara Banks dress was horrid!

Yes, the whole event was boring this year, but I still had fun seeing if my picks were the winners or not. Unfortunately, my pick for best supporting actor did NOT make it... it was Michael Clark Duncan for The Green Mile. And I was sad to see that The Sixth Sense didnīt win anything!

Apart from that, there were a few dresses I liked and thought looked rather good on the wearers. They were Charlize Theron in that gorgeous orange gown (and I hate orange!); Ashley Judd in the purplish dress, it was my favorite; and Winona Ryder looked very elegant I thought.

Jack Nicholson was as cool as ever
And I was secretly wishing Cher would trip on her gown...heeheehee

Let's face it, any gown was going to look boring after Jennifer Lopez forgot to wear one to (was it the) Grammy's. I'm not a huge fan, but I hoped Tom Cruise would win - he seems like a nice boy. (Oh lordy, 'boy' am I getting old again?)

Lucy Liu is the girl in the red dress she is on Ally McBeal and will be one of the angels in the Charlies Angels movie that is coming out. The woman in the red roses was Diane Keaton. I think it was her homage to American Beauty. I thought Ashley Judd was the most STUNNINGLY beautiful woman there. Jaw dropping! Didn't Jane Fonda look GREAT? And I agree that Winona was gorgeous.
Does anyone else out there think Angelina Jolie and her brother are involved in an incestuoust relationship? I really do. She drags him to every event, hangs all over him, thanks him and talks about how much she love him and cries when she does it. She acts like a disturbed woman in love. SCARY!!
I love my brother and admire and respect him, but theirs seems a most unusual sibling relationship!

Hungreesman- I could not agree with you more about Angelina Jolie! And every person I've asked about it agrees- her relationship with her brother definitely seems unnatural!

You coulda knocked me over with a feather when she said in her acceptance speech that it was her brother. I simply assumed it was her lover, given the way they were hanging on one another. Weird...
