Anyone remember this movie? I so loved it.
Have I got the name right?
Charles Boyer (in reality a very devoted and loving husband) is trying to trick Ingrid Bergman into believing she is going mad. When in reality? She sees the truth of his malicious nature but is torn apart choosing amongst a. reality b. being in love with a man who means her harm c. her need for safety over her need of her illusion of safety.
I loved that film. Watched it over and over and over again. Never missed my chance to gaze at it in a kind of hypnosis or perhaps a better word description was that I was mesmerized.
I'm glad I no longer have a TV or a VCR. If I watched it now? I think I'd just give up and would never be able to stop crying.
Have I got the name right? Anyone know anyother movies revolving around evil mastermind types trying to drive a kind woman insane?
