This has been a surprisingly good year for movies... or else I'm getting better at picking the ones I go to. So far in the theater this year, I've seen The Ninth Gate, Pitch Black, and Return to Me, all of which have been quite good (and a couple of others which we need not go into here ). I gave both The Ninth Gate and Return to Me **** 1/2 out of five in reviews... no one's mentioned them yet, so I thought I'd throw 'em out.

I just saw Where The Money Is on Saturday and it is a wonderful movie. Paul Newman plays an extremely challenging role with his usual brilliance. A must see for all who are tired of big budget Hollywood formula movies with no inspiration.
