uiscebeatha Enthusiast Registered: Wed Mar 01 2006 Posts: 216 Loc: Antrim Belfast Ireland	Do I read correctly that singer Gene Pitney has died on a tour of the UK? For my generation a boyish-looking guy who never seemed to grow old. I first went to see him live in Belfast back in the 60's and only because my then girlfriend was a diehard fan. I went, convinced that he could not produce the notes on stage that were contained on record. He did an surpassed them - a wonderful live stage act, a good song writer and another of that era who will be deeply missed
