It's Land Before Time for adults! The story is nothing new for dinosaur flicks, but the FX look amazing. Leave it to Disney to graft computer animation with live-action footage in such a painstakingly spectacular display. Any comments?

Wolfman,
When we bought Tarzan on video there was a very long trailer(mini movie) of Dinosaur on it. We actually rewound it over and over to watch it!! Dinosaur is the most anticipated movie of the summer for our family. Can't hardly wait!!
We will go opening weekend.

Same thing here. My daughter's already been trying to convince me that we need to go this weekend.

Well we took the kiddo's to see Dinosaur tonight. It is incredible to look at. Beautiful. Has some very tense/anxious moments and only a few laughs. Its like an action/adventure movie for kids. We all enjoyed it. It FLIES by. not long at all.

I'd recommend it for kids over 3 yrs old. Too scarey for younger than 4 I think.

I took my (then) 6 yr old and my 3 yr old to see Toy Story 2 a while back.
The preview for "Dinosaur" made my 3-yr freak out "let doh home, I nee doh home"
I don;t think it was the images, but more the cacophony of it. Do they have to crank the freekin sound like that? 'specially when the theatre is full of kids.. shheee-eesh
Poor son, I think he would have liked Toy Story 2, but my wife had to leave with him before it could even begin.
I would love to see that flick,(Dinosaur) but my (now) 7 yr old daughter says she doesn't want to see it.
Flinstones, Las Vegas here we come. heh

We made a whole day of taking my daughter and a friend of her's to see Dinosaur today. The whole day was really fun, and the movie was a big part of it. The effects and humor were great for keeping my interest, and the fact that it was dinosaurs, monkeys and animation kept the kids glued to the action. We all had a wonderful time.

So....on all of your recommendations....I can safely convince my husband that we need to take the kids. He's worried about it being all special effects, and no story.

There's a long and very loud destruction scene in the beginning, so I wouldn't take a kid who's under about 4 years old, but any kid 5 or over should love it, and the adults have a good time as well.
