I liked it! (How can you NOT love Mel's gorgeous voice?!)

Good for the kids - lots of humor that they can get into (there is one scene in the beginning that could be a tad upsetting to some of the younger set.)

Lots of humor, though, for the adults, too. References to Star Trek, a Steve McQueen film and others that go over the kids' heads, but the adults find humorous.

If you loved Wallace and Grommit, you're going to love this one - the creators carried the W and G techniques over very well. The expressions in the faces of the chickens were superb. Some of them very subtle - watch closely!

Just don't plan on eating chicken afterwards for a while - you get too close to the characters!

I wasn't planning on seeing it, having seen the previews on cable (the making of), but hearing of the references to star trek and Steve McQueen ,I must admit my interest is peaked.
And I don't think I'll have problems eating chicken afterwards, after all, when I saw A Bugs Life...

I know how you feel Cohalen. I thought I may have problems after seeing Skippy the Movie. But no, Roo still tastes good. No problems after seeing Blinky Bill either.

Chocolate-covered grasshoppers, cohalen?

If any of you have not seen the Wallace and Gromit movies by the Aardman team... find a way. Rent, buy, beg, borrow, steal, SOMETHING. They are utterly fantastic ("A Grand Day Out" is on my 100-best of all time list). Chicken Run (which I saw yesterday) was good, but the W&G films have a worldwide mass following for a very good reason: they're some of the best filmmaking of the last hundred years.

I really have to go and see this - I love Wallace and Gromit (however, at times the humour in them is very "British"). I think it's out in the UK on Friday (or next week).

Bringing this up to the top, since TSA mentioned it.

Sandal, I agree - this is a great movie for your daughter. And, I think you'd enjoy it, too. Has appeal for all ages.

I finally went to see it the other day (took a bunch of the kids from school).

The verdict - I loved it, and the kids....

....fell asleep (although some of them were really jetlagged)
