GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

This is the funniest movie I've seen in a long time (well... at least since Shanghai Noon). It makes fun of all those "horror" flicks, like Halloween, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scream. Even has a reference to Sixth Sense.

Gets a full tub 'o popcorn from me!

No, sandalwood. I haven't seen it but many others have confirmed that it would be highly inappropriate for someone that young. Nudity is one big factor; chipbgt said

This movie was okay for a parody but stupid for a comedy. It had it's moments like Mr. Squiggy as the principal. I'd recommend it especially if you saw all of those horror flicks Silver Moonsong mentioned

I completely agree this movie was not for children. There were a lot of sexual scenes that aren't appropiate for children. Sandalwood I heard Chicken Run was a good film for children.

This movie was definitely for adults. As a pardoy, it was hilarious. If you haven't seen most of the movies I mentioned, you might not enjoy this movie, because the innuendos would escape you.

Definitely not a movie for children.

I went and saw it last night. I laughed so hard in parts that I snorted and had to keep covering my mouth. It really is funny throughout.

I was shocked to see a fairly young couple bring in three little boys all around 10 years old. This is an R rated movie for a reason! It has tons of bad language, is very offensive to women and gays all thru the movie and is of course full of senseless violence.

It is NOT for kids! I wouldn't let a teenager under 16 see this without a parent. Those boys in the theater last night didn't get some of the jokes at all and I heard them laughing in other places that most of us groaned uncomfortably. I don't know what the "adults" were thinking by bringing them there, and I wish the theatres had policy that said no way...those kids should not have been allowed in.

I must be getting old!

Gotta say I loved the movie tho!!!!

hungree, I took your advice and brought the kids to see the X-Men. Scary Movie was rated R and the kids loved the X-Men. I will go to see Scary Movie on my own. Thanks for the heads up.

Jo would my six year old like x-men? She asked about it and I wasn't sure. She's a mature six...more along the lines of a nine to ten yr old most of the time. Glad your gang liked it!

Hello hungree, your six year old will love it, trust me. First of all, the language was kept very clean, hardly any curse words and the "F" word wasn't used at all. The special effects were amazing. Although the action heros did a lot of fighting, it wasn't full of blood and gore. As you know, I went on the weekend and I saw many parents/adults with children of all ages and except for some chuckles thoughout the movie, you couldn't hear a sound from the audience and I don't think anyone got up either. Everyone looked liked like they were totally engrossed through the entire movie. I think you both will have a great time together if you decide to go. Enjoy!

See how long us Brits have to wait....Scary Movie is being released this weekend...with an 18 certificate. First time a comedy has had such a high rating.
From the trailers it looks good and I have seen all the films it takes the mickey out of. Hopefully going to see it sometime over the weekend.

Count your blessings, Sypher... coupla months ago it probably would have gotten banned.

R (thinking that a hundred thousand Brits have watched A Clockwork Orange in the past few months and all said "this was banned for thierty years... why?" )

i want to see scary movie but it's an 18 and i'm under that.
they didn't have to make it such a highly rated movie,a 15 would do and i could watch it then...
i would never be allowed to see scary movie but it sounds hilarious!!!
