What did you think of it? I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long. long time. Thought it didn't stick strictly to the book, I thought it was pretty close. I love the soundtrack as well. If you haven't seen it, you should, just to see the school cow get her nose broken, the happy ending and all the romance in between. I loved it so much I could talk about it forever but I better not.

I was really bored through it. I thought it could have been so much better. We Aussies can make cool movies like The Castle and Romper Stomper and then we bring out a crap one like Looking for Alibrandi. I thought it was a waste of time. Sorry to wee on your bonfire Angelus.

That's cool, you don't have to apologise for your opinion, you are intitled to think whatever you like, I just thought that it was a really good movie (and book). Yet, I didn't like The Castle that much, I thought it was a bit stupid, and I haven't seen Romper Stomper, so I can't really say anything about that, but it's Ok that you didn't like it, thanx for your reply though!

I've read the book two times and have also read 'Saving Francesca' by the same author. I don't mind the movie, in fact I enjoy it, but usually I prefer books to the movies and this is such a case.
I know in movies they prefer to have happy endings and so forth, but the ending in the book was better and more realistic. With all the quarrels Josie and Jacob had it was likely that their relationship wouldn't last and they would have problems but the movie made it out be that everything was fine.
