I'm glad your selling went well Sue!

Also a manual typewriter, as new - I have been wanting one.

I think my favourite buy from a charity shop some years ago, was a manual typewriter. Although it is messy, to change the typing ribbon, I always loved the satisfying ding as it come to the end of the line, and then having to return to the begining manually

I want it to be able to show my grandchildren what we used in the olden days. Now what I need is one of the really old ones with the round keys, many a time I have typed on one of those.

We learnt "Keyboard Skills" when I was at high school. However...I was interested in type-writers at a much Earlier age

Didn't you save a rotary dial phone? Have you noticed how few kids actually would know how to use one now?
I remember being an operator (the good old, call now, operators are standing by) and we had to dial on the base telephone, then put the chord up to the person calling in...then call out. It was very complicated.

Wow Sue if you had sold all that stuff for $1.00 each you could have gone on a cruise.

Today I opened a box which arrived from QVC a number of years ago, I took the first layer out, then put it back! Surely I will want an air compressor one day.

I've been a member of my local freecycle group for about a year now. Last summer, just after I joined, I gave away all the fixtures from my bathroom, since we bought new when we remodeled... One guy got a 5-year-old toilet, shower stall doors and a bathroom sink. Plus, I've given away whole boxes of the floor tiles that had been used in the old bathroom as well. And yarn... of course, I've also TAKEN yarn... such a bad habit, yarn! Speaking of which, Sue, I am so horribly disappointed that a round-trip ticket to Jersey would cost more than a knitting machine! I have been wanting one for SO long and would have been perfectly happy to leave a knitting-machine-sized hole in your mountain of stuff!
