When Dermot Morgan died I'm ashamed to say my first reaction was horror that there'd be no more Father Ted.

I loved Just Good Friends but felt that had run its course by the last show.

Does anyone remember one called Joking Apart? It starred Robert Bathurst as a stand up comic whose marriage was breaking up. I found it hysterical but it only ran for a couple of series.

Fools and Horses? Loved it, but hasn't it been repeated to death?

Only Fools and Horse is twenty-five years old, it seems like more than seven series, it seems like forever!

I love "My Hero". I would watch back episodes on BBC America on demand, and they stopped putting episodes on there. *sniff*

We're renting about five a week at the moment..and enjoying them.

Judith Dench is wonderful in 'As Time Goes By' and it's very relaxing to watch it.

We've gone through the Vicar of Dibley and are stuttering , yes yes yes yes no.' now.
I know my parents will love it.

We watch the Midsomer Murders as we used to watch him in the Jersey Island series when we lived in the UK.

We've also been on an Inspector Morse streak.

We have Are You being Served as a staple as for some reason, it's just the thing for thinking about something other than your problems. As it could be any workplace dynamic, we enjoy the interactions. I cannot bear Mr Rumbold though as he reminds me of a few clueless supervisors I've had in the past.

Bergerac you mean. John Nettles is a bit of all right in my opinion, I sometimes used to see him on a Saturday afternoon in the supermarket doing his weekend shopping, and have also spoken to him a few times at functions such as prizegiving for children handling dogs. John's daughter is still living here and is now in charge of Data Protection, any compliance complaints and she is the person to contact - and she is stunning looking!

Back on topic, my Waiting For God dvds have now all arrived so I must start watching them.

My 24-year-old son and I are "Father Ted" geeks. We own The Holy Trio DVD set and use it as a barometer to decide whether new acquaintances are on the same "humor level." When my 20-year-old daughter brought her new boyfriendd home last summer, we screened "Song For Europe" and "Speed III" for him. He laughed, in all the right places, and even asked to borrow a DVD. He's a keeper! We have also watched
Keeping Up Appearances" and "As Time Goes By" to exhaustion.

I'll tell you one sitcom I don't like and that's Are You Being Served. They show it on our local Public Broadcast System. They have been showing it for years and years.

HA!!!

We have a Pay TV channel here called UKTV and it usually has a few older sitcoms running at one time. It's great.
