Round One
Sorry, I'm a day late. I'm technically on vacation, so I might not be able to score these for a while. If you have trouble, message me and I will try to get back to as soon as I can.
I feel like a bit of fantasy today.
1. A fantasy book by Terry Brooks.
2. One of the nine in the Fellowship of the Ring from the Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R. Tolkien.
3. A book in the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.
4. One of the Houses in the fantasy series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin.
5. Another fantasy author not mentioned in the above.
Good luck!

Whew! I was quite easy really, once I had picked another of my fixations. This time it is Poems I Love. I had to learn one poem every 2 weeks at my primary school and as a result I can quote great chunks to this day. (Yes, Sue, even The Boy Stood on the Burning Deck...) Here are some of my favourite poets. Not too well known I know but persevere and you will see why I love them, maybe. 1. Wilfred Gibson was a WW1 poet and friend of Rupert Brooke. My favourite of his is called "The Ice Cart" At the bottom of this page Give me an adjective to describe the snow or ice in the poem. 2.Rupert Brooke is probably better known to you . He is accused of over romanticising war. Nevertheless... give me a line from :"The Dead" by Rupert Brooke. 3. Now turn to Henry Reed, maybe my favourite WW1 poet. Find "Naming of Parts" . Read it and find part of a weapon that he names. 4 Next DH Lawrence "The Snake" So very evocative. Find and name a word(verb) for an action by the snake in this wonderful poem. Last (if you are still awake) 5. Now... of course, Shakespeare's Poetry. not however the best known sonnet "Shall I compare thee.." Not MY fave. I had to learn this one and I love it. Give me a line from Sonnet 29 "When in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes..." (and then try to convince me that Shakespeare's work is overrated.) Thanks all. I hope you will ask for help if you need it.
