I am currently watching ebay to see if I get my next item, yes I am still at it. To kill time I decided to browse and much to my amazement people are bidding on false teeth! Why would anyone wish to buy three sets of false teeth? Check it outI hope the link will work. Any more weird items? I saw a 1960's washable condom, guaranteed unused! What strange items have you seen?

Ooooh, this would make a lovely gift for those who love Scotland but cannot visit, buy them their own square foot of Scotland.

I saw that , very strange. The only thing I could think of is that they are a practical joker and would send them to 'friends' as presents. But why did so many people bid on them?

False teeth are very expensive, some people can't afford new ones. My grandmother had to use second hand ones for some years, they of course never fit right. But if it's a choice between chewing and not... Not saying that's why these people bought them, of course, but they may get redistributed? I have donated my used eyeglasses to organizations that give them to people at shelters and such.

This is the UK though, some people will get dentures free, others at a subsidised cost unless they go privately.

Craziest thing I saw was Detroit Lion fans selling their allegance. Highest bid was about 9 cents. Sure that there has be worse.

My favorite are the air guitars. I've seen a number of them. Typically, someone posts an air guitar, that happens to be accompanied by a guitar case and accessories (so it's a clever way to advertise the case and acessories) but there have been listings for JUST an air guitar. lol

How funny - I tried searching for 'air guitar' on the UK site and most were plastic blow-up toys but this one appears to be the real thing, he also does air drum kits. I found the comments amusing. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-new-AIR-GUIT...1QQcmdZViewItem

You know, I saw a clip on T.V. once of the national Air Guitar Championships, or something to that effect. Very... ah... unique to watch.

Um, yeah. If I'm going to fly to the UK to spend time with someone, it's not going to be that guy. However, the 67 cents US that the auction is currently drawing is a bargain. I always loved the Ebay auctions for haunted stuff. I love this one: Bid if you're crazy With a title like that, who could resist? Plus, the spelling errors in this stellar piece of fiction are worth the read. She should have taken the $100.

I wonder how much I could get for this "haunted railroad spike" I have. As I walked up the tracks near one of the sites of a Starkweather murder, I felt something hit my foot, and it was this railroad spike. Ever since then, I swear, sometimes in the middle of the night I'm awakened by terrifying sounds coming from outside my house. It sounds like a train going very, very fast and blowing it's whistle... I just know it isn't coming from the train tracks a mile away. And sometimes some of my daughter's toys mysteriously appear in the middle of the floor. My four year old is an exceptionally clean child, I swear, so how these toys wind up in the middle of the floor, I just can't figure out. And there's a cold spot right in front of the cupboard where the spike lays in it's drawer. (It's in the tool drawer in my kitchen, just between the sink and the fridge.) It doesn't really scare me, though, but I wonder if anyone else would want it...

Leave out the part about the railroad tracks being close, the kid being little and the drawer being next to the fridge and you've got the perfect Ebay story. Just remember, abandon all command of the English language when posting your story.

OK, I just had to browse the "totally bizarre" section. What else did I find?
Dryer lint (sitting at $6.50 with EIGHT bids!)
A single cherry kool-aid packet (up to $2.29 right now)

There are some STRANGE things sold on eBay. I think someone tried to sell their virginity at one point.
I recieved a strange BID once. I was trying to sell a Titanium, Gold-Plated watch that I no longer needed, and it wasn't getting any action until suddenly, the bid went straight up to 80,000 dollars. I was thinking to myself...WOW, is it really worth all that much? I had thought it to be 200 dollars worth, at most.
Turns out, the buyer didn't pay, even after he won it, and he remained the only bidder. *shrug* Just an odd story. I was excited about it until I really thought it out, and realized that no one would ever pay that much for a watch without it having belonged to someone really famous, or without having it's price's worth in diamonds attached to it.
