I have been trying to decide in which forum and in which thread to make this post and Funtrivia Forum and this thread won.

This post will click my post tally over to 20,000.

Actually I have posted more than 20,000 times as the system had a blip some years ago and hundreds of posts went missing so this will have to do as my 'big one' instead.

Yay!

Yes, I can see it on the profile Sue, well done!

I lost one or two myself then as well, plus the fateful day I started a new account instead of changing my name meant a few more are tacked elsewhere. There are some very old threads where many posting landmarks were added but that was when there were only a couple of thousand members. But I can only think of one other member with 20,000 plus but that's just by memory. I'll have to work out who's next now!

Seeing the icon on your name, Sue, let me say happy birthday. Your 20,000th post on your big day.

Satguru, I am the third member here to hit 20,000. First we have Gatsby, then gtho4, now me.

I wrote in the post that it was my 20,000th as of course the figure has now changed so I thoguth I would mark the occasion.

You don't know what a Lucky Ducky is lady1? Do you play quizzes here? When you check your profile on the other side of the site you might have some badges.

http://www.funtrivia.com/bb.cfm?boardid=1000000 is the notice board in which Terry makes announcements. You will see there that he explains the awards. Lucky Ducky is normally awarded once ever 24 hours to a random member who has logged on to the quiz side of the site that day but yesterday Terry awarded a second one for the day, he gave it to me and I was absolutely over the moon, thrilled to bits.

Yay! By the way, Sue, I got a bright idea and decided to send you one Twinkie for each post (it seemed a good idea at the time). This was a project of some complication (and I ate a few thousand as I orchestrated the thing, so please don't count them to verify the details ). A small fleet of 6 or 7 trucks should find your island by app. 2013.
And, by all means, Happy Birthday!, too!

Like the Lucky Ducky badge Sue and now I know what it is.

I am not sure what a Twinkie is, it sounds a little rude.

Oh, my ! I thought Twinkies were a global passion ~ here is all things "Twinkie"!. Staple of lunchboxes here in the States for decades. Not the healthiest snack, mind you. About 140% sugar and other assorted junk. Delicious little rascals, though !

Basically little sponge cakes injected with yummy cream filling! We will have to send some over to you if you don't have something similar, Sue!

Go raise a little Cain on your birthday Sue. It's been another rough year on the island - you could use the evening off.

I am diabetic!

I just had a lovely surprise, a phone call from Romania! Denni19 phoned me so that added to a very good day. I have also spoken to my sister and my daughter in England and my brother in Spain.

How wonderful to hear from far away friends!
Hope this day lives up to the joy you felt when you got the Lucky Ducky!

Sue my daughter has a problem digesting sugar but given half a chance she would live on Twinkies! We have them in South Africa but they call them Tinkies here. (She can eat sugar but certain things make her sick ie: coke and sugar sodas).

Sue, I'm glad you think of it as "lovely". I still can't believe I've actually heard you!....and I'm still not sure I've spoken with the real Sue .

Happy birthday Sue, you've clearly got two families now as we all do, and if we can't always meet up in person we always can here and on the phone. I've spoken to quite a few people here (feel free to reveal yourselves if you want to) and also on voice messenger and the commonest comment is how much they like my English accent!
I said the numbers posted were only from memory, and as it was late mine was fading. I knew Gatsby was around the mark but despite my application being sent in for platinum anorak I don't memorise post counts (yet!)

Highlight of my last few days was doing some early Christmas Shopping with Mum. I got the complete set of the David Suchet Poirot on DVD, so I will have plenty of watch once December comes along. Also, me and Mum wrote out all our Christmas cards yesterday evening. So, so strange just having our two names on it. I am glad Sue had a good birthday - you deserved it Sue!
