A high for the day, week, year, decade - I just hit the 1,000,000 point mark on Funtrivia Quizzes. Yay! Sheesh, it only took me 6 1/2 years! I have had such a wonderful time here, and thank you to Terry, Sue and all you ingenious quizmakers and dedicated volunteers for making it so. (Gee, that sounds like an academy award acceptance speech, huh?). But I really mean it - you are great. I look forward to many more happy hours here.

The low? Not sure, reading that unemployment figures were low in this State (California) and then, realizing I was the exception to the rule. How did I manage to find so many jobs in an area that had 12 percent unemployment?

Ok, the high has to be that I was sweeping the floor earlier and the kitten we've adopted from my daughter and her roommates was playing attack the dust mop. It makes chores easier!

How nice for you bullyb to watch your nephew on tv; how nice of him to win the money for charity.

My high was winning my first Veteran Badge. Was I suprised!

Congrats on the Veteran Badge, Lady 1. How awesome!

And all those points for Verbonica. Incredible!

Yes, lady1. This was a good appearance on TV by one of my nephews. This same nephew won a dancing show competition on TV last year. The competition started on my 50th birthday last year and it was just a blast to watch him win.

A low for another week would have been his brother on TV year or so ago. He made the mistake of having his first year of marriage recorded and televised as a reality show. Big mistake. The marriage only lasted 3 years.

And the kitten? Those are those priceless moments in life (sincerely).

Credit where it's due, I just got an email from Christine saying she screwed up the last one somehow which was sent back blank and will get in touch.
Phew, that is a relief. It seemed a lot of my faith in humanity was resting on her, though it really shouldn't have. But it shows so far very nice people don't turn nasty.

Well , things are hotting up for a fun filled year.
First of all I shall be at the Jersey home of our own dear Sue. She has generously invited me to go there and practise my housework skills over the Christmas season. What fun, especially as she has agreed to feed me as well. I leave for there on the 22nd December.I am really looking forward to it.
Added to that, I have a generous cousin(my only one). She has agreed to pay for everything on a fabulous trip with her round Australia in April. All I have to find are the air fares from HK to Melbourne and return from Sydney. Some of you may know that I have been wanting to see what all the fuss is about for a long time. I am so lucky, as, from Melbourne, I fly to Alice and see Uluru and all round , then Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, then back to Sydney for 3 days. I so hope I will be able to see some of you. I am so excited, I can't tell you!

Remind me to give you a jar of Marmite to take with you dear.

She thinks she will be doing the housework, I have news for her, she is going to be out there weeding my garden!

In December? Even in Texas, we don't do any weeding in December, and I'm sure it's considerably warmer where we could! Last year wasn't the case, at least not in late December. It was 15°F (-9.5°C) early in the month, and on my birthday last year it was 82°F (28°C)!

What a lovely time you're going to have Ren. Over in England (Jersey) for Christmas then off to Australia. I hope you'll meet up with a few Funtrivia members

Wow!
Ren, that's one mighty fine trip. And you surely deserve it.
Hope you'll take some photos and, maybe, share them afterwards. Photos of Australia, of course, not of weeding Sue's garden.

Ren, that sounds like a very interesting tour you are doing. Be sure to give me a wave from Featherdale Wildlife Park (I live not far from it) as you pass on your way to the Blue Mountains.
Watch out for the Scenic Railway in Katoomba, it could surprise you.

There was me expecting to see the itinary for this trip!

Saturday afternoon arrive after travelling for a couple of days, dump bags then quick trip to supermarket to fight the crush in order to collect the turkey. Cook dinner, wash up. Wash kitchen floor. Bed.

Sunday. Feed cat. Cook breakfast for her majesty. Wash up. Vacuum lounge, clean stairs. Vacuum hall. Clean windows. Prepare lunch, wash up. Prepare dinner, cook dinner, wash up.

Shall I go on?

Ren just some thoughts and ideas about some of your itinerary that may be of some interest.

Day 6. If you have a choice of guides at the Telegraph Station try and get the large Aboriginal guide there, he is amazing.

Day 7. Take at least 2 litres of ice water for the Kata Tjuta (Olgas) walk and if it`s at all possible walk a little further and view the entrance to The Valley Of The Winds.

Day 8. Don`t bother climbing the rock, it is a nice view from the top but personally I did feel better when I was there as an adult ( a couple of times) and didn`t climb it (take at least 2 litres of ice water).

Have fun sounds like a great trip.

Oh, I am so glad you said that Ren!

Now may I suggest that you make a stop in Bucharest, on your way to Sue?

Low of the day. Dad would have celebrated his 71st birthday today, and it's almost 6 months since he died. But me and Mum and managing to do exactly the same things as we have always done. Christmas will certainly be different this year. But the good part of Christmas is that my sister and her family is right next door to us.

These special dates are hard to get through, especially first time out.
My thoughts are with you Jane.

I'm with you too Jane.

Two weeks ago we had a 2 years commemoration for my Dad and we aren't over it yet. And we miss him and Grandma (and she left us 15 years ago!) on every Christmas/Easter or family anniversary.
But I also feel they are with us in a special and protecting way.

---------------------------------------------

Sue - No snow yet in Bucharest. Foggy and chilly in the evening but the rest of the day is very fine. Check here...
We had a fluffy, snowy something 3 weeks ago and that was all. But it's still a whole month left till Christmas and anything can happen.
