Hai, I have been to the international filmfestival in Rotterdam a few weeks back and now I am wandering where (all over the world) are also these festivals. It is great to see movies from all over the world that normaly never would make it to the cinema´s.
So, who can tell me??

Susanne - While I can't help you with the locations of film festivals, I do agree that it is nice when you have the opportunity to see films that do not usually make it to the local theater.

This month I saw a Spanish film titled "Salas" (I think that was the title, translated it is "Alone"). It was a very moving and realistic portrayal of the lives of a mother and daughter in Madrid. What a treat!

Yeah, it is great CarolinaCarol. On a day like that (well it is like that in Rotterdam) you have a special day on sunday. You can see 5 films that day. it is a great journey through different cultures.

They'er all here, the big and the small! (And More are being added daily. I just read about the Newport Beach (CA.) International Film festival starting this year as well as the "San Fernando Valley Film Festival" to be held on Aug. 18th because that's the area code (818). Really!
There's one for every block almost these days. Sheesh!
Enjoy!

Amateur Film Festivals seem to be becoming popular in my area. My high school started one while I was there; in a few days I will help run my university's 5th annual festival. My hometown also has a festival on New Year's Eve of each year. Some of these films are of surprising quality.
