The Marissa Tomei scene in "My Cousin Vinny" where she gives her automotive expertise about Posi-traction and other technical data. Makes you wanna applaud !

Good Will Hunting

Will (Matt Damon) is walking down the street with his friends when he spots the pompous windbag that tried to embarrass Chuck at the bar, sitting in a coffee shop.
He approaches the window and knocks to get the guys attention.

Will: "Hey, do you like apples?"

Windbag: "Yeah."

Will: "Well I got her number. How do you like those apples?"

Ist runner-up would be from the movie "Phenomenon".
George (John Travolta) has just found out he has a very short time left to live. He is alone with Lacey (Kyra Sedgwick).

George: "Will you love me for the rest of my life?"

Lacey: "No. I'll love you for the rest of mine."

I don't care how tough you are, that scene will choke you up.

One of my favorites is from The Odd Couple; the scene in the restaurant where Felix is trying to clear his sinuses. The expressions on Oscar's face are incredible. What a great pair of actors we lost this year in Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.

There are so many... A few examples:

The opening of 'The World According to Garp' - the bouncing child.

'Life of Brian', when Brian opens the shutters in the morning...

'Deliverance', the Dueling Banjos (mostly for the music).

The opening scene of 'Ofelas' (a Norwegian/Lappish film). I almost wet my pants. I hope it found its way over the Atlantic.

'The Fly' (1958), the scene with the spider. I can still hear the 'Help me! Help me!' (I was only 7 when I saw it - way too young)

And of course the Indiana Jones scene mentioned earlier in the thread.

the "I'm Spartacus" scene from Spartacus. Gets me everytime - the look on Kirk Douglas' face as Tony Curtis and co all begin to stand up ...

but to make me laugh - The Jungle Book - "show me the secret of fire" scene - especially when Baloo comes along and gets so carried away with the dancing he doesn't notice he's slowly losing his disguise. I love that bear!!

I'd have to agree with Craigal. The scene from Raiders from the Lost Ark never fails to crack me up.

Sand was right. I did read a movie trivia saying that Harrison Ford was sick while they were filming that scene and just had to modify the script.

there are so many.

i like in life of brian: when they are chasing brian and they lose him when they wonder where he is someone says something about him rising to the heavens, and in the middle of his "glorious speech" he cuts himself off, or gets interrupted (dont remeber) with "oh no, there he is" and they proceed to chase him down an alley.

i love the ending in the usual suspects where you just get blown away with the truth.

the phone calls for the baby sitting jobs in ms. doubtfire, i have always loved that, those and the scenes where he is trying on make-up to look like a woman.

there are too many scenes in the holy grail alone but one funny one that i always tell my friends to watch (if they've never seen it) is when lance-a-lot is running towards the castle of the prince and the guards see him coming over the hill over and over again, and when he finally gets there and kills one the other just says "hey."

if i think about it i probably have more, but thats enough.
