I have had two days now to absorb the horrific events that occured in Montreal on Wednesday.
I am baffled how someone can aquire the weapons he used as we are suppose to have Gun Control in this country.
I feel so sorry for the young girls family that so far was the only one who died as the result of this nutcases rampage.
It's a very sad state of affairs that no one knew he was slipping mentally. There has to be someway of recognizing the signs or alerting the proper authorities there might be a problem with this person.
I am so ashamed that our supposedly strict gun laws somehow failed and this insect was able to aquire such vile weapons.
We need stronger laws or a Prime Minister who has a backbone and will make sure the laws on guns and who can have them are strongly enforced and passed as law.
This should never ever have to happen again.

This link is to a article on some of the events that happened and there is a picture of the young lady who died.

That was appalling news, Bonnie and I was saddened to hear it. I fail to understand why any country allows its citizens weapons, and it is worse when the law against possessing them is not upheld. As you say, a sorry state of affairs.

I too have been sickened by this, especially because my daughter might be leaving for university next year. I can't help thinking how it would feel to hear that her university was under attack by a crazed gunman. It really makes you want to keep them locked in a bubble.

According to a report here, he was obsessed with the Colmbine video game--or at least thats what the American press reports. Sounds like another sicko that needed to find something to blame for his own inferiorities. The length that some people go to get their 15 minutes of fame is rather sickening.
