I think there must be technical issues with the poll. You are allowed to vote more than once.

Yes, it seems to be linked to IP addresses so if you have one those ISPs who swap your IP address about then you can vote more than once. Other people for the same reason cannot vote, someone else on their IP address has already voted. Never mind, it is only a guide. I have been copying the latest results so that people who cannot view the results can do so.

I'm technically British, but I prefer to say that I'm Irish. I come from Northern Ireland so I can decide!

Actually the whole of Ireland is within the British Isles, it is just not part of Great Britain. Just place yourself in with the rest of Europe if you want, not a problem.

Having been born in Halifax and with a daughter living in Sheffield and a sister with a holiday cottage in Herriot's village I guess that I ought to have given it a slot of its own.

Take your pick, you can always pop it in with the rest of the world!

Another Canuck signing in

About the IP thing... most university servers keep rotating/switching theirs, it's not a constant, so if you're logging in from there that could be it.

American born and raised here. Celtic at heart however.

Background has been traced on several sides of the family. Most lead back to common grounds in Sweden, French (wrong side of the sheets to King Charlamange - SP I know.. I know..), Welsh, Russian, Scottish, Irish, English.

The American starters arrived just after the Mayflower and immediately went east through the great lakes paths.

Europe not UK? Is this because there are not many European members? I'd like to see an option for Ireland!

As you can see we only put half a dozen options, this is only a lighthearted poll. If we put Ireland then we would need to start listing many countries.

So you will need to go in Rest of Europe.

They didn't even list Cornwall, so why would they list Ireland? (lol!)

I didn't even list Asia or Africa and they are a bit bigger than Cornwall which is not, the last time I checked, a country! Daft old bat. All that 'cheer' at Chinese New Year must have addled your brain.
