papo, I think you are taking this matter a bit too personal. I'm from Argentina as well and I don't see anything wrong with the way the poll was laid out. Sue explained the reason why there is a "rest of the world" category, which to me, makes sense. No one is saying Latin America or Africa or Asia are less important just because there's not a specific category for these places. If you take a look at this place, you will notice that it makes no difference where you come from, everyone is treated with the same amount of respect and attention.

If I hurt someone´ s feelings I humbly apologize. That wasn´ t my intention. I am fully aware that most people in this Trivia are excellent but as Malvolio, a Shakespearean character, I take things concerning my country seriously. Thank you, minkpenny, for taking the trouble to write about the characteristics of the forum. Once again I am truly sorry. Papo2228

Although it it off topic I will respond about Why the Channel Islands are British and not French. To quote from the BBC website "When King Philippe of France beat King John of England to take the Dutchy of Normandy, Jersey had a decision to make, stick with John or give Philippe a try." This was in 1204. The islands have remained British. BBC website

I grew up in the US but have lived in Israel for more than half my life, so I voted for "rest of the world". I suspect that many people have similar stories. janet

LOL! Oh, now, now, now...
From my perspective, it is the other way around... I have no idea about anything concerning Austalian Rules Football, or cricket, or some obscure tiny town on some very strange sounding river in your outback...
Or what cricket team in England nearly 50 years ago who played in what stadium... or your incredible 2 millenium of recorded history....
Oh, well... I have never paid any attention to our own sports statistics, either... I will never be remotely knowledgable about anything regarding sports!

I "voted" now , what i was surprised to see is how many Brittish there is compared to the rest off Europa. I can understand why America is topping , it IS a big country , but the English population compared to the rest off Europe....i guess this means that FunTrivia is more popular there then amongst the rest off us Europeans

Yes, it is obviously a language thing, with the site being in English, even if most of it is American English!
The Canadians might have a bit of an advantage there. We seem to get it all - British and American

I noticed that when my mom brought a co-worker from Canada over for dinner that when she said "Eh" it was almost forced. Like she thought we expected to hear it. It seemed strange, like a Texan cringing while saying "Ya'll".
