Not surprised at there being more women... all the forums I've been at (quite a few) it's always been more women than men.

Except the FFR one. :|

How fortunate that chatspeak isn't allowed here! At another site that I live at, the younger kids there are so rampant and with them chatspeak... and if you ask them to mind their spelling/grammar they jump on you and say "You're not our teacher; we're not at school, we're not getting marked on this. Neener neener!"

Grrrr.

Hmmm, I am afraid they wouldn't last long in these forums. There are plenty of forums where this is acceptable, FunTrivia just isn't one of them. In our rules, found in the FAQ, we ask people NOT to use chatspeak. If they cannot keep to our rules their accounts would be closed, as they would if they were rude to other members.

We also prefer people to use correct capitalisation and punctuation as it is far easier to read, therefore good manners. We accept that some people with dexterity problems might not be able to use the shift key with ease, but generally it is not a problem for most people.

Absolutely not! It was just a follow on from your chatspeak comment which we very much appreciated. I am so sorry if you thought I meant you, really sorry.

From time to time we get new members who post in all lowercase, it is very hard to read, I don't think that applied to you. Please forgive me if you think I was having 'a pop' at you, I really wasn't.

I was being nice! I am distraught at the thought that I might have upset her, I really didn't mean to do so.

No making Sue distraught now! She's having too much fun yelling herself hoarse with Ren!

Hey toadette, are you hiding behind the sofa? We are sitting ten or twelve feet from each other, around a corner so I can't see her, nor she me - and yes, we have both been on msn writing messages to each other. We haven't actually got around to using webcams but that might come!

Its nice to not be in a minority group anymore!

For years I worked in a technical call center were I had to constently remind the guys that I was a girl. Though.. there were also some nice perks in working with mostly guys.

They helped me move, fix my car, offered to "get rid of" a bad ex boyfriend, never walked out to my car in the dark alone, and no freakin' lines in the bathroom!

I sure wish I hadn't noticed this. Once again, being reminded that I'm over 40 now and more than half my life expectancy is gone. I usually think of myself as thirtysomething, and then someone comes along and reminds me that I'm 43, and it's like getting kicked to the ground yet again..:(

This poll shows what I have always beleived that women generally are better with word games . Am surprised though at majority of age group playing. You should be working to support the retirees! Just kidding.

Well I'm female and I'm currently 20 years old.
The strage thing is I signed up to these forums in 2002 I believe. After reading through some of my previous posts from then I read that I was only 16. To me now it seems I was so young back then !

I'm surprised the 13-20 age group is so high, 19% as of today, the second highest age category in fact!
Proves there ain't that much wrong with the youth of today

EEK...I hope no one interprets these results as meaning women from 41-50 are the most trivial.

I was not suprised about these polls because I always thought that there was more women. At least I am not in the age group with the least amount of people.

PS- GO TEENS!

I am very surprised that 19% of all members on this website are under 20. I think that you should break down the categories more so it is easier to see. I think that the 13-16 range would be a lot smaller than the 17-20 range!

Also, I guess that the women win... this time!
