i've been reading some really good reviews of this movie, and i'm anxious to go see it. i've heard renee zellweger is really really good.
i haven't read the book, but it is on my to do list. have you read it? and if so, how did the movie differ? i'd be curious to know.

I haven't read the book although it is upstairs in my daughter's room so perhaps I will.

As for the film, to (more or less) quote Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman..... "I nearly peed my pants!" It was a laugh out loud type of film, hilarious.

When it is released on video I will definitely be buying a copy as I will still find it funny on the third, fourth, fifth viewing.

I saw this last week and loved it - and it's different to the book, but just as good. I just love the part with the big pants in it - and was trying to explain to a bloke that it isn't complete fiction, women DO do that kind of thing.

Very very funny, and it's caused a massive on-going debate over meals about whether Hugh Grant is cuter than Colin Firth!

Hands down Grant is the hunkiest! The movie was great and Renee was so believable as a brit!

The film is actually funnier than the book, although that is good in itself. The sequel, 'Bridget Jones; the Edge of Reason' is better than the original, it made me laugh out loud. Imagine mixed up and image obsessed Bridget in a Thai prison!

Oh, and by the way, Colin Firth is one of the sexiest men on camera. Did anyone see him as Jane Austen's Mr Darcy? Never has there been a sexier Mr Darcy, old or new!

I read both of the books, Bridget Jones's Diary and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, before I saw the movie. I do think the books were better, but they did pick excellent actors to play the parts!
