Not sure if we've had a celebration yet or not, but we're certainly somewhere near FT's 10th year anniversary. Maybe someone with a better memory than me can work it out  In any case, I think we're going to have to throw a big party soon...

George's date for the forums is just after mine, December 1999. Ren was here earlier, and I think PurpleFan was, and Chelseabelle. Sypher probably was too.
I think that I will have to check the registrations to see who was here when you opened the forums in this form.

George knows all this stuff, but I believe I am nearly the longest standing...
My date of actually joining is before the one stated on my blurb thingie.
I was member number 77 , I am told.

I have searched back in the registrations and obviously lots have the same date as they were old members. This is the order they are listed, I have included everyone who joined prior to 1st January 2000 and who still post. 19. Gunslinger - deserves to be in the list 21. Linda1 - still pops in from time to time 37. Sypher 38. Terry 45. argus9 - whoops, missed off the list 57. gilly39 77. Ren32 - so ok, she has a new number now 89. tim10001 104. Chelseabelle 138. PurpleFan 183. SilverMoonSong 374. fjohn 409. chessart - not posted since 2005 but visits 452. Wow, I never knew the actual date it started, congratulations! I thought of the forum members who were here that long ago and probably got about half Sue's list, though I think one major name is missing, McGruff (who had a different name at the time) and PaulE and ScottD are also around, as they had answered some of my questions back then (though they probably registered in 2000 if Sue hasn't listed them). I would have made it but didn't actually own a computer until a couple of months later, but found the site as soon as I got online. Maybe we can be in the reserves Here's hoping to at least another ten years!

A quiz comp labelled the FT Challenge started in Feb 99, and finished in Oct 00 (it was a weekly comp, but there were dailies in there as well, I think).
Feb 05 : Quizzyland is 5 years old today!

Terry must be suffering from early senior moments! Shucks, we ought to have had our party two years ago.  The order of members which I posted above are strictly in numerical order - I will go back and put the actual member number by each one. Quote:

I had checked the registrations carefully, anyone visiting the forums since 2005 stands out like a beacon. I checked all members registering up to the end of 1999.

The Wayback Machine is always good for a read. You can access the forums from the right hand side, just scroll down to the Community menu. Edited to add that there appears to be a problem at this time, but it is normally fine, I accessed it yesterday.

I had to look it up, and I regged at Quizzyland in June of 2000. You know what that means? I've been a member of FT for almost 1/4 of my life... And this year I turn 30, so I'm officially old. Yay for FunTrivia being a venerable old website!
