I'm not sure. I really like Michael and the tattoo guy (I forgot his name). They seem to have the most unique stuff. I think I'd wear Uli's stuff, though. The architect (I forgot her name too), her stuff and Uli's stuff doesn't tend to change, though. Uli always has the patterns and the architect always has the high waistline.
I think the architect will be out next. But it's really hard to tell, they're all really talented this year.

We had to get rid of our digital cable a couple weeks ago, so no Bravo for me. I'll be eagerly wathcing your commentaries. (By the way, I was liking Michael while I was still able to watch.) I figured out I could see all the designs and stuff on Bravotv.com, but it's not the same as watching. *sigh*

I thought that dress was gorgeous, and deserved the win. But this year really did have great designers so I'm thinking it'll be really really tough to choose who wins.

I've been watching the show intently (even though I don't know a needle from a thread for the most part). I'm in the Michael camp, too. His clothes look so wearable and stylish and not all thematically specialized/weird. I like them all, though, in different ways. If I had to guess who might go next it would be Uli and only because she's the most pigeon-holed of the lot in terms of what she comes up with (but even all her stuff looks just fine to me...).

I like Uli - maybe it's because she's German...Who knows! But I think maybe she'll be the next off because her stuff keeps looking the same.
Although I heard that Michael didn't have a bathing suit at Fashion Week, but the others did, so who knows who gets kicked off next!

I was just sooo happy Uli did something different - and glad she won!
MSNBC.com gave away the ending with their headline this morning, so I already knew 4 went on. I wish one had been knocked out so Uli had a better chance of winning though.

I have to admit, I prefer Michael. Uli and Laura both make lovely garments, but as the judges have both said repeatedly, their stuff, even Uli's brilliant winning dress this week, are all... the same.
Uli's use of patterns is to die for, I'm pretty much sick of her dresses. As I said, even the last, and certainly stunning, dress with the tie dye print easily falls within what is obviously a comfortable pattern for Uli. It wasn't long, it wasn't AS flowy, and the neck was certainly different from the rest of her garments, but it still had that same sort of beachcomber vibe. Like, yes, we understand living in a warm climate with lots of parties at the beach is wonderful, but will we see a whole line of dresses that could be pared with flipflops without creating a style problem?
And Laura's dresses, while stylish and wearable, for some people... OK, there's something to be said for having a signature style, but I don't really want to see a whole collection of nudes and blacks with a neckline all the way down to the somewhat-high waistband, A-line or pencil skirts and lots of stuff hanging off the bottom. I'm the first one to admit a penchant for 20's and 40's glam, but I just don't see enough variety in Laura.
I really dislike Jeffrey, but I do like his garments perhaps better than either of the girls'. At least he does unexpected things, even if I don't always like them. He's more of what I expect from a fashion designer, as an artist.
Michael, though... with a few notable exceptions I think his designs have been wearable, but not so done as Uli and Laura, and his sense of style is beautiful. He's unexpected in a similar way to Jeffrey, but usually unexpected works out much better for him, like he's thinking outside the box, but without the shock value Jeffrey seems to (try to) employ. Plus, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.
In the end, I feel like I know what I can expect from both Uli and Laura, and that disappoints me, even though I feel like I could WEAR more of their designs than the boys', and while I don't exactly know what to expect from Jeffrey, I expect it WILL be a edgy to the point of ridiculous, and I hope he lets me down on that. Michael, though, I just feel like if the pressure doesn't get to him, I'll really enjoy his collection, and that's what I'm basing my "choice" on for the win.

Yay! Tonight's the "Reunion" show ~ this ought to be good (hide the scissors!). I saw a short clip - the contestant that got kicked off for rule breaking is even showing up - and I heard someone calling somebody an "amateur" (meow!). I wanted to say, too, that I'm really glad the four finalists will be competing. They're all so good and so different and it seems not only fair but also is the stuff of a really entertaining showdown at the end. I was especially glad to see Uli stay. And, aside from that rockin' dress she did last week, I thought that photograph of the model and the street musicians she took was excellent, too! Much talent there.

Yeah, I will just have to wait and see. But it's not just a TV thing, there's been plenty of actual news about it too, with Bravo trying pretty hard to keep a media lid on it so nothing gets given away.

Oh I hope Jefferey didn't cheat. I really enjoy his designs.
And man Vincent is not who I thought he was at all. And that guy who got kicked off and blaming someone for putting the books in his room! What a loser. "I don't know how they got there". Yeah right.
Anyway, I'm glad all four are in the final, too. They all are very unique and deserve to be there.

I haven't been able to watch this show for a few weeks now...what exactly is Jeffrey accused of doing? My heart isn't particularly breaking for him, I find him a pretty poor excuse for a human being. But some of the most talented and creative people in history have been miserable people, so... .

Jeffrey's collection was finished, down to the last detail, everything just perfect, while all the others were still struggling to get theirs in shape. They all felt that Jeffrey might have gotten outside help, with someone else doing the sewing for him. Everyone felt that the designs were his, but that he didn't make the clothes all by himself, with absolutely no help. Even Tim felt that it looked suspicious. They showed Jeffrey's family, his wife and son, and Jeffrey spoke about how much he loved his son, which I found rather touching, especially since he's always come off as so obnoxious. He also talked about his struggles with drugs, and how he's been clean for several years. It just showed a side of him that hadn't been seen before. When they informed him about their suspicions, his reaction wasn't what you might have expected from him. I thought he'd blow his top, but he seemed more worried and sad than anything else. That was my take on it, anyway.

Yeah I hope he didn't do anything wrong. I love his collection. But if I were in Laura's spot, I would probably rat on him, too. Because if there's even a little chance of cheating, I'd want investigating. Why not? It's a competition, you want to win... fairly.

Yay ! Tonight's the night (I really won't believe I'll be all wound up the whole day waiting for this crazy finale - I rarely get so jazzed about TV series too much; I've clearly made an exception). In reading this thread the "big thing" seems to be Jeffrey (am I the only one that has liked him all the way through?). Maybe. I suppose the worst of him came out when he was dealing with Angela and her mother and that's probably WHY I like him. I thought Angela was a dreadful creature and [perhaps wrongly] just figured her Mom was equally repellent. Had I been Jeffrey I'd have just stuck a burlap bag on the woman, tied a ribbon on it, and called it a day . Which could explain why I'm not a designer. Laura's pretty good and all that but she's a little too "all that", in her own mind, sometimes, I think. Jeffrey's collection is just better than hers and it would be out of character for her to just humbly smile and accept that. Did he have outside help? I can't say (if he did he should be eliminated, fair and square). Or, as Laura goes about this little snit of hers, is the bigger problem that she didn't think of trying to cheat a little OR that her clothes are just not as good as his? I wouldn't call her the type of personality who would like coming in second (or third) to anything or anybody. On a side note, too, I think she lost even more credibility with me when she presented a son who thought nothing of mentioning turtle poop in front of a TV camera LOL. Turtle poop? I'm just kidding ~ that was actually kind of cute. Michael's clothes don't look so hot, to me, for this final show. Too bad about that, too. I'd like to see him win it. Now, and it didn't start this way for me at all, I find myself rooting for Uli. That's probably because she just seems the most all-around flexible to me in terms of being a human being. I couldn't deal with all that hissing and attitude for 10 minutes but she's done it for weeks and still manages a rather sunny approach to things. I saw all four of the finalists on the "Today" show the other day (since they were there together and the show itself is taped it was refreshing to notice that none of them had murdered another or anything). They mentioned (before I knew anything about it - the "Today" segment was a couple of weeks ago) Jeff's 'cheating' during the interview. In very vague terms, naturally. He didn't look like someone who had gotten kicked off this or any other program/competition, though. I can't wait to see what happens.

Thanks for the explanation, robbieh. I guess Jeffrey wouldn't have gotten on the show if he had no redeeming qualities, but I just have a hard time excusing a bad attitude and rudeness. I LOATHE rude people. I don't really care what kind of life someone's had, it doesn't give them the right to inflict their misery on others. There, rant over. In all seriousness, I tend to respect diplomacy a lot more than "telling it like it is". I am a firm believer in If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Well, I'll be waiting patiently for my update. toe taptaptap... Well, come on, people! Who won already?!

Wow. That's seriously disappointing. *sigh* Oh well, I'll just focus on America's Next Top Model now. It should be more watchable since they got rid of the Insane One. (Anybody else watch it?) Yes, I confess, I am a reality junkie. But I like "intellectual" stuff just as well. I am an Equal Opportunity Tv Fan. I guess I'm a product of my era.

From a non-fashionista, guy perspective let me add, too, that (I personally think) had the winner been chosen on that runway performance last night alone, Uli would have likely won it. I thought her designs and collection cohesiveness were the best by a mile. It seemed as though the judges were swayed by the season in its entirety and Jeffrey had stretched more than her during the course of it. Were I buying a special lady a dress for a special occasion? I'd head straight towards Uli's rack. But, then, I wouldn't run with the Gwen Stefani crowd, either. He's [ahem] "hip", I guess, and I liked him and am OK with his win - but I still think Uli had a better showing last night. Can't help it, either. That Laura still scares me. Can't you just hear her? "Buy my dress or I'll smother you with these ruffles and strangle you with this tasteful belt!" or something? - just kidding. The good thing is, however, they'll all end up with lofty careers after all of it. That, to me, seems completely fair.
