Having had a wonderful experience with gmail, I'm pretty sure orkut is a nice place to hang out. I came to know about it only when some of out states were planning to ban it! Never mind, that'll take some time.

Meanwhile, I again look forward to the wonderful FT community and especially Sara (who gave my gmail) to call me to orkut.

Orkut is an online social networking community, like myspace or gazza..(whatever...)

It is now run by google and is quite populat out here in south asia and the LatAms.

I don't like google's policy of growing organically - by invitaion. I think it's trick to generate hype and curiosity, rather than what they say - to avoid growing too large and too fast.
