OK people. Christmas is coming and Santa is feeling VERY generous so put in your orders. If money was no object, what would you like for Christmas something that money can buy. Yes we all want peace for the world, the troops back home from war, good health for everyone but this thread is about material things. So place plave your orders now.

A house of my own.
Any size or type will do, although if it's over 3 or 4 rooms, I'll need a maid to go with it.

Oh, and I musn't forget my E-type Jaguar. Any year is fine, early '60s preferred. This has been on my Christmas list for many years and I just can't understand why Santa hasn't delivered yet.
Maybe I haven't been a good enough girl.

Can you believe it? I still need that new toilet I asked for last year. This business of flushing using a bucket is either for the birds or for settlers in 1868 or something. Just a reminder to Santa on that one .
Besides that, I'd like maybe a pair of "grown-up" shoes that I can wear again for more that ten minutes without all the discomfort that seems to happen. Maybe the toilet would be easier? Not sure .

PS3 is coming out next month! So I'm very glad that I will get it, but really all I want this year for christmas is to celebrate my b-day. Because Dec. 10th is my b-day, but I'm not having a party that day.

I can't think of much that I really want. A new book or jigsaw puzzle, the harder the better, and I would be perfectly happy.

I would like a room of my own - not to sleep in, but a place where I could go in the evenings with no children, husbands animals etc. There are times when I go to bed just because I want to read and someone else is sitting in every comfortable chair. I'd really like to go back to doing yoga at night before bed, but there is literally nowhere in the house where I can. When the kids were young, I'd wait until they went to bed and then use the living room, but now they stay up later than I do. Our bedroom is too small, the bed takes it up and anyway my husband is apt to be sleeping. sigh. Maybe I just need a bigger house.

The kids brought home a catalogue - their school is supporting World Vision. You can buy Christmas presents for people who have everything - buy a goat in their name for an African village, for example. Has anybody ever used this? I like the idea - I give my dad a donation in his name to a favorite charity most years for Christmas and this sounds fun. Two hens and a rooster cost $50, a goat is $100, ten fruit trees $60, etc.

Hmm...what do I want Good ole Santa to bring?
A lot of things technology-related. A new phone, for one. A new laptop too. And a car would be nice! Oh boy would I be pleased with Santa if I woke up to find that under my Christmas Tree! Some snow down here in SVG wouldn't hurt either (although something would have to go seriously wrong in the climate for that to happen). I dream of a White Christmas...just like the ones I used to know! There are more things on my wish (such as gobs and gobs of books) but these are at the top for now.

Every book missing from my various collections, A 21 inch lcd monitor for my computer. A house of my own would be nice, I can dream I suppose. All the dvd's and box sets that I am missing like the Indiana Jones one. As many As I can fit into my room.

Ah to dream the impossible dream!

I'd really like for Santa to pay off my medical bills. It's not much, less than a used car, but it's plenty enough for me.

Failing that, a nice selection of sterling silver wires and components and gemstone beads would be cool. Or a digital camera. Nothing fancy, just something newer than the one I own, which is almost 10 years old and has a scratch on the lens.
