Please excuse me if I am all floppy and relaxed today. I have just come home from having an aromatherapy massage of my neck shoulders and back.

If you have had one then you know where I am coming from, if you haven't then you don't know what you have missed - sheer heaven.

This was a birthday treat from my daughter, she telephoned the spa and booked and paid for it, I just had to turn up and enjoy.

I always wondered what 'the royal treatment' would be like, but just never took the time to check it out. Maybe I should someday.

Oh Sue isn't that nice for you! What a great daughter you have - you certainly raised her properly!

When I was on my cruise last summer, I had a hot stone massage which was absolutely amazing. It was my first massage, although I have had a couple of acupressure treatments.
I really enjoyed it...I even tried to adopt the masseuse!
I have regular pedicures and love those a lot. I find that keeping my feet looked after has benefits for my entire system.

Hate 'em.
Haven't had too much, but any version of neck rubs, foot rubs, etc leave me very unhappy. When my sister was taking her reflexology course, she had to practice, and I really tried to like it, but it just makes me shudder.

I was the 'dummy' for my daughter when she did her aromatherapy course, but through the course I was too busy concentrating on weather she was doing it correctly I did not relax and enjoy it.

In July we celebrated our 30th Anniversary, went away for a few days and I went for an aromtherapy massage and realy did enjoy it.

What a lovely gift Sue.

I had a full body massage once and once I got over the whole "showing my body to a stranger thing" it was the best feeling I've ever had. I was so relaxed afterwards I found it hard to drive home!

I have only had an 'all over' massage once and that was by a man in Crete at a fabulous spa I went to, it was fantastic the whole lot of treatments.

You men, a professional massage makes a great gift for the woman in your life.

Never had a massage, the closest I get is a Jacuzzi, in the gym, twice a week. I can throughly reccommend jacuzzis!

They're great! Thai massages are the best - and no 'sexual' implications here. My wife and I often had them in Thailand, and they were so cheap - and completely professional! Men usually get the masseur walking with her heels on their spine, which I suppose could be quite 'sexy' but it certainly gets the vertebrae into place!
I've also had massages in India, Turkey and Morocco. All were highly professional, and differed in technique. The Indian ones used a lot of pressure massage using oils, and the Turkish were in traditional Turkish baths and performed by men who resembled heavyweight weight lifters. The Morrocan massages came a close second to the Thai, performed of course by men on men as this is a Muslim country, but they resembled an all-in wrestling match more than a typical massage!
