So it's South Africa who is now on top of the ranking. Makes for an interesting start for the World Cup - if Australia get mostof their players fit enough for the WC will they be able to get the confidence back?

I would have thought it was a fine tactical ploy to send an understaffed team to NZ and lose the mantle of the world's number one team. Surely, the pressure is now on SA. They must be the favourites.

But it won't be. Australia will get back at least a couple of the injured ones and will be expected to breeze through.

I don't think they ever wanted to lose the No 1 spot - I just don't think it's in their nature ... a good chance to rest a couple players and give some experience to the younger ones.

Stuart Clarke has got to be the unluckiest player of all though. Didn't he have the best figures all summer?

Yeah, I'd like to know which member of the ACB's daughter is betrothed to Tait!

You have to think that karma was looking after Stuart Clarke when Brett Lee went over on his ankle. Lee out - Clarke in. He should have been there all along and I don't think he will be letting the side down at all ... and I'm willing to bet that he has far less extras than Tait does at the end of the world cup.
