Hello! I am AbleSentinel. I have been here a couple days but I guess it's not to late to post here in the Welcome Center. Especially after my rather embarrassing post asking about this forum. I was born in the same small town that I currently live in here in the Mid-West, U.S.A. I was raised in the city of Shreveport, Louisiana. I am Native American (Osage Indian). I work overnights at the infamous Wal-Mart, stocking shelves. I was a meat cutter for the last seven years and even became market manager until the store closed it's doors last year. I play the on-line game Urban Dead and love to blog on yahoo 360. I am single, 32 years old and have no children. I have a large Pit Bull, white with fawn markings, 110 lbs and a 28" neck. He is my pride and joy.

Other than that, the only thing you might want to know is my medical history. I have a hyperactive thyroid which affects my metabolism. My body burns calories like crazy and I have a special diet that helps (because of the processes involved it is considered a rare type of diabetes and certain foods affect me differently). I only mention this because it affects my whole body as well. It affects my nervous system (makes me jumpy) and of course my mind.

At times I can be like someone with ADHD or at my worst, psychotic. Basically my mind races just as fast as my body. Sometimes I can't even keep up. The bad thing is, I can't speak as fast as my mind moves let alone type. Sometimes I may have one simple point to make and my mind just gets carried away. Therefore a lot of times people misunderstand my intentions. I can expect this to happen here many times. It already has at least twice. (My second day here and have a post already deleted) I have been on many sites and forums and I come to know the moderators pretty good because of this. But I treat every one with respect and mind my manners. Most people understand and hopefully get to tolerate me at the least if not actually liking me.

I can tell that I have done it again. I only meant to say hi but it appears this is getting on rather long. So anyway, I like this site and hello. I look forward to seeing everyone on the threads and of course in the games. (I love the games)

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Yes, I've met two of you in the chain games. Say, who wants to start a new round of Twenty Questions on there?

Hello, ablesentinel. [I had to re -read your post to find the answer to my question] We have many Osage around this part of the country, - didn't realise they extended down below us into Louisiana. I am familiar with the area around Shreveport and Bossier City, since I went to school in East Texas.

Welcome.

Actually, I was born here in SE Kansas. My grandfather came from the original reservation of the Osage just east of here, near Chetopa. Many of the Osage people's now live in Oklahoma.

I moved to Shreveport when my mom divorced my father. I was raised in and around Shreveport but returned to the land of my ancestors here in Coffeyville right after I turned 18. The only tribe I came across down in Louisiana was the Caddoen.

East Texas? Near Longview perhaps?

Wow, what an impressive intro! Gidday and welcome from Down Under ! My partner is Diabetic, has been for 15 years, we have it very well under control with lots of organic foods, fruits, vegies etc . . . when he's bad, he's mistaken for a strung out heroin addict (which he is NOT), he just needs a sugar 'hit', and I have sugar pills for him, make him eat 1/2 a dozen of 'em and within 15 minutes he is fine . . . so understand where you're coming from! I have the opposite problem, I have a digestive system like an ancient pipeline, I have three 'notable' diseases (won't bore you with 'em), but I too have been eating organic and I've even created my own range of all natural cosmetics and personal products, made to order for all in sundry . . . website coming soonest!

PS Forgot to mention I love Wal-Mart, bit like a combination of a few of our shops here, but maybe The Warehouse would be the closest to it, similar, but not the same

More like Tyler... Longview was the place to go for a beer run or to eat at Johnny Cace's.

Thank you Engadine. It's nice to know someone will understand if I seem a little off on occasion.

And ktstew, I've been to Tyler more than once. You are nicely situated it seems as far as location goes. Convenience of a small town with nice huge cities within driving distance. And good fishing nearby as well.

Sure - every third vehicle on the road in east Texas is a guy in a big dually pickup hauling a bass boat headed for Lake Palestine.

Ablesentinal, hello. We have spoken on a sport thread. If I seem cynical, ignore it, it is a curse of mine (20 + years as a soldier didn't help too much in that respect). In company it is sometimes considered amusing but, it can seem very different in the written word. Like you, I have been tardy in approaching this board. Well done Chumley, I still cannot introduce myself properly.

Thank you. I agree with you. I see many posts here that merely say hello, without providing a clue as to who they are. Each person is indeed unique and worthy of peer review. That is exactly why I like this site.

By posting on several topics, I can learn from and about the more regular users. In exchange, I provide insight into the madness I consider my life. Together we become human and somehow more alive.
