The forecasting for my area is never very good, but we have a local 'weather station', and as such I can look forward to . . . Tuesday night: Low of 17°C (it was 32°C today with very high UV's!)

Hi, from the country that puts the "North" in "North America"...

The blizzard of earlier today has been downgraded to a severe winter storm - it has mostly stopped snowing, and the winds have calmed a bit, but the temperature is plunging - it should be minus 30 C tonight. Form my window at work I can see the flagpole of the school - the Canadian flag is almost gone, from the winds of the last week or so - once it got a rip, it started just ravelling away. The Alberta flag is ripped now - we'll see what it looks like tomorrow.

Officially we got about 10 cm of snow, but because of the wind it is drifting quite high in places - I could not tell where the steps were to my sidewalk this afternoon, it was just a hill of snow.

Chance of winter this weekend and early next week. Highs around -4°C/25°F. Your snow/ice is heading my way, agony.

An update: it's 67°F currently, and I am under a winter storm watch, with a possibility of getting "upgraded" to an ice storm warning...yuck! Hopefully the temps will stay above freezing, so that there's no ice. Dallasites can't drive on dry pavement well, so when there is a sheet of ice, there'll be at least 1,000-1,500 accidents around here...yuck.

Isn't that awful warm for winter weather, even down there? Currently here it is 9 F (minus 12 C) and an absolutely beautiful day - all the fresh snow, and the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Not a breath of wind.
It really has been an excellent winter here so far - we have had two cold snaps when it went down to minus 30, but this last one hardly lasted more than a day or so. We've got lots of snow, and temps have been mostly between minus 5 to minus 15. Perfect.

Yes, our average high is about 55°F (12°C) this time of year.

Yesterday, we peaked at 41C (about 106F), with an evening thunder and lightning storm.

Today, it is overcast, showery, with a predicted maximum of 23C (74F).

Who knows what for tomorrow- a cyclone, or perhaps a blizzard?

Very chilly with high winds in the San Francisco Bay Area here. The temperature is around fifty or so I think, but the wind chill must be lower. I have the heater on fifty two, and it's come on several times today.

We have freezing rain today - it's quite nasty out there. The schools are still open but busses aren't running. Unfortunately for my kids, they walk!

I had freezing rain last night. It has all moved east of me, but the temps are still below freezing (26°F or -4°C). It won't get back to 32°F (0°C) until tomorrow.

We are in the midst of snow, sleet and freezing rain....Its easier to drive in a foot of snow than it is with this stuff...

The freezing rains that visited dg dave yesterday are close on our heels. We're travelling in the rain, headed northeast, just ahead of the cold. By this time tomorrow, we'll probably be in the thick of a ice patch.

We are east of dg by about 400 miles - snow flurries, 21 degrees, nine degree windchill...in a word - miserable.

We had an ice storm overnight Sunday/Monday --- net result, NO hydro/power for just over 32 hours (Our power went out shortly after 8am yesterday/Monday morning and was finally restored around 3pm today/Tuesday.)
It's very pretty outside here at the moment --- not necessarily so nice trying to get around/walk in it. Last night we dropped to -15°C (about 2°F) --- we've been hovering around the -5°C (about 22°F) mark all day today. (That's pretty much our forecast for the rest of the week.) Given these temperatures, none of the ice has fallen off of the trees or anything else, so we're crossing our fingers that the hydro doesn't get taken out again by falling limbs or whatever. We were supposed to get quite a bit of snow last night, but fortunately it didn't materialize --- we got just enough snizzle (snow drizzle) to take a bit of the slipperiness out of the ice.
We're now finally getting the temperatures that are normal for us this time of year --- it just seems much colder than normal because we've been way above our normal (with the exception of 1 week in December), often just barely reaching the freezing mark overnight and nearing the 10°C (about 50°F) mark during the day --- is till yesterday that is.

today in montenegro wasn't very cold for this time of year-it was about 16-18°C but it was sunny...but during the night the temperature droped for 5-6°...that is for Podgorica,the capital.

It is currently -12 in toronto with ice everywhere.

The ice went to the north of us in Bella Vista - but we've got single digit temps again tonight. Sheesh. I had to pour tepid water on the doors of my car just to open them early this morning.

It's 10:59 p.m. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and our current temperature is -11 degrees Celsius, with a wind chill making it feel like -22 degrees C. And we've got snow flurries - like we need more snow! I'm sitting inside my cosy, warm house musing on the gigantic size of our ecological footprint as our natural gas furnace chugs away in the basement. Tomorrow, we can look forward to sunshine and single digit temps - albeit with a wind chill factor. Oh, well, only another three months until spring, and I'm used to it. Last Friday we had the coldest day we've had for two years - minus 45 windchill factor. Brrrr!
