My current favourite is a Nike advert where a man and woman are running through puddles finding various ways to soak the other... I think the tagline is "enjoy the weather". It ends with a great shot of a bus going through a puddle sheeting up a huge wall of water. (Oh yes, and then there is a completely gratuitous shot of some footballers in the coach which almost spoils the commercial for me but hey ho, you can't have it all I suppose...!)

The first time I saw that Orkin one, I was over at mom's. I started to run for the screen to squash it! She had seen the commercial before, so she just sat there laughing at me as I went running for the tv!! I didn't see the humor in her finding it funny!

I just saw another one that cracked me up! I don't remember what car company it was for. There is a man standing by a car at the dealership, looking at the car, and he sees someone else coming to look at it, so he quickly leans over and licks the door handle. I just laughed and laughed. It reminded me of my brother and me as kids. If we wanted the last cookie, or any other food item that we didn't want the other to take before we got to it, we would lick it really fast and sit it back down, so that the other wouldn't take it. There have been a few times lately I have thought about doing that when we are at mom's for a holiday meal, just to see what he would say. I may have to try it at Thanksgiving.

I saw the best commercial last night. I believe it was for the Visa Check Card. It starts out with a video store clerk reading the titles of three movies all starring Charlie Sheen. He says "Big fan of Charlie Sheen huh?" and looks up, the guy renting the movies is Charlie Sheen. Charlie then proceeds to try and pay with a check. The guy says he needs ID and they show him calling various places while Charlie walks around the store and falls asleep on a sofa that is in the store. Finally they show the clerk looking at Charlies ID and he says, "This doesn't look like you." The camera switches to a man reading something, he then puts it down, standing there is Martin Sheen and he says. "It did when I got here.

Hope I catch that one, MollyGrue! I'll watch anything with Martin Sheen!

The Blockbuster store (movie rental store) commercials with the hamster and bunny rabbit. My favorite shows the front of a Blockbuster store. What you see in front of the store is the back of the hamster and the back of the bunny. They are watching the "store" when it starts to go out of focus several times. The hamster reaches over and adjusts the "rabbit ears" and the store clears right up!

Oh yes, June! My favourite hamster/bunny one.........."No one should see.............." (hamster rear end dancing!)...........:)

I just saw the cutest little commercial. It's for Dole fruit cups and,actually,the reason I like it so much is that the song in it is too adorable for words. It goes something like this,"Honolulu baby,where'd you get those eyes? And that bright complexion I just idolize....." Of course,I can't be sure if that's exactly right but it's so cute! Has anyone seen it?

And now we come to the part of the year that has my favorite commercials - the Christmas ones. I just love all the cutesy commericals with Santa and kids. I guess it is because when it comes to Christmas I am still a kid myself.

Bringing this up, because I've seen a lot of cute ones lately, and I thought it'd be fun to talk about them!

Travelocity is doing one right now with a garden gnome that goes all over the world. I love this one!

He speaks in a British accent and is funny! He says something about getting bubbles up your "whoopsiedaisy" when he's in a hottub.

Subway sandwiches had an hysterical commercial, where you see a middle-aged man in a cheerleader outfit washing his car. "It's okay, i had subway for lunch" is the tagline.
