OK I am having a brain freeze and I hope this isn't nominated as one of those dumb questions that I should know the answer to.

I have MSN messenger and for the last 3 hrs I have been trying to retrieve the saved conversations in there as I need to check something I had in a conversation with one of my contacts.

I am sure it is a simple thing to find but I am almost in tears of frustration as I can't seem to find what I am looking for.

I will appreciate any help that I get. As long as it is easy to understand .
This is a feels like a Monday problem on a Wed.
Thank you in advance.

Where did you save it? I wasn't aware that they are automatically saved.

It is suppose to be saved in some part of my History but I can't find it.
Yes if you have ticked the box that saiys save my conversations it will save them if you need to look back at them.
It has to be here I just can't find it.

Have you looked in your documents?

File
View Message History
Then click on the name of the person

See how that goes, it brought up some conversations for me.

Don't know what version of MSN Messenger you're using, but back in v7.5 the history could be accessed under File -> View Message History...

Sorry if this isn't helpful; I've since switched from Messenger to Skype.

Sorry, I see that Sue beat me to the answer. Don't mind me!
