While dealing with my Yahoo inbox today, I noticed this link to a QUIZ.

I found it funny and interesting when they told me at the end that "You are a talented but demanding emailer". And they explain some more about it in the results.

Same as you, perhaps I ought to do it again, I didn't realise there were four options until I got to the second question.

Edited to add that I did it again and still answered with the same option in Q1.

I would have preferred more options for some questions. For instance I never clear my Inbox, I delete junk but retain all other emails, sometimes for years, sometimes forever.

When I used to work I used to retain emails for an absolute minimum of a year, mostly much longer. Then if I received an email and recognised the name of the sender and subject matter I could look back and see what I told them the last time. They must have thought I had a fantastic memory as I might reply "As I told you when you asked this question eighteen months ago, the situation is..., there has been no change in the law since that time." I suppose I did have a good memory to have 'bells ringing' which made me check back for previous emails from the sender.

Hmmm. I got YOU ARE A TALENTED BUT DEMANDING EMAILER, too. And I have definite issues with that "demanding" business. I don't think I'm that in any direction(s) but especially when it comes to emails. I expected the words 'lazy' or 'dismissive' to show up ...

Tidy. Pro-active. Diligent. You're something of an in-boxing champion. In fact, you're so organised it's almost scary. You can't relax unless your inbox is completely clean and every single email has been answered and stashed neatly into folders. Your dedication to your inbox is like that of a marathon runner – you never waver and like to play by the rules. You score good results but being this good you must worry that you're not being good enough. Right? Right.

Sue, I would have preferred more options for some questions too.
In fact, every quiz or test I've taken anywhere, not only on the internet, lacked "my" instant/favourite option.

I do delete many emails from my Inbox but not before saving them on my computer, each in their special folder usually named after the person who sent them.

I was talented but demanding. Well now I know. I delete junk mail straight away and, like Sue, I keep some emails for years.

In the first question about the party, they don't give you an option for "HIT SPAM". That's what I do.

Yup thats what I do too. Not looking forward to when my inbox gets full...only another 67% to fill :P

I got "You are a talented but demanding emailer."

I do exactly what Sue943 does with her inbox...I've never completely cleaned it out. There's a buildup of about 130 email messages.

I got the 'Talented but Demanding' too, though it's probably inaccurate as some of the answer choices aren't adequate. eg, I forward some amusing chain mails, but delete most.

I'm also talented but demanding. Which is kind of true in my case. I kind of have a binge purge mentality to e-mailing, I won't write anyone for a while, but then I'll write ridiculously long messages that no one could possibly respond to.

I tend to keep important emails like those from distant family with links to pictures etc. but delete all daily fun ones (after I have passed them on of course)
