Hi Caroline and welcome ! Read the Forum Rules and the FAQs at the top of this page and that should get you going in the right direction(s). Feel free to ask, too, as you explore. Somebody's always around to lend a hand. Enjoy!

I read most of it and it said no chatspeak. Sorry, guys. Well I'm more educated of this site and geez, it's interesting and it does cure boredom!

Welcome to the forums.

That's correct, no chatspeak although we sometimes get the occasional ROTFLMAO. We completely steer away from general chatspeak. Many/most of the members in the forums are over forty, certainly we have very few teens here. As our members are from all over the world it is easier for them to read 'correct English', in fact it is easier for most of us if the truth be told.

Hello and welcome from me too

In regards to the chatspeak, am I the only one that finds it easier and sometimes quicker to type the whole word rather than the abbreviation? I have to stop and think if I want to type "u" otherwise "you" just seems to happen, if that makes sense.
