Two brothers had their dog removed by the RSPCA last year as they allowed him to become grossly overweight. In a foster home he lost four stone in weight (56 pounds) and now he is going to be returned to his previous owners.

Poor dog! Hopefully they will keep an eye on the situation. It's not good for a dog to be too big. It can cause all sorts of health problems. My aunt had a dog who was overweight (not as much as this one) and he developed joint and knee problems as well as other health issues. He walked with a limp because of it and had to be put on a special diet.

I saw a film of that poor animal, he could just barely walk. Poor thing. How could anyone think they were doing the right thing by allowing an animal to get like that?
