Woody Allen in Annie Hill (I think) "I'm like a cat, I always fall on my feet". I think that was when he knocked over all the shopping carts!

For anyone who's seen Snatch this line comes from one of the funniest string of events ever.... "Is that Boris??" Everytime I watch that movie that scene kills me.

How about great lines spoken by a single star? E.g., Cary Grant: "We sunk a truck!"-Operation Petticoat (a favorite of mine) "Professor Elwell, you're the only man I know who can say 'malignant' the way other people say 'bingo'!"-People Will Talk "Insanity runs in my family. It practically gallops!"-Arsenic And Old Lace "You torturer! Setting it there in front of my eyes! Is there no torture an oriental mind is capable of?"-Gunga Din (the movie is one of my all-time favorites!) Any other great lines from the great stars that you know? tjoeb};>

From True Romance, the entire exchange between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper, as Walken is about to kill Hopper. There aren't enough asterisks in the world to accomodate my typing the dialogue, but if you've seen the movie you know what I'm talking about. Unforgettable - one of the best movie scenes I've seen.

Here - hit Weezer. From Steele Magnolia's. Also from the same movie: I've just been in a bad mood for the last 40 years. Treat each day as your last, one day you will be right.

"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Georgie, Pete and Dim, Dim being especially dim." The opening line of my favourite film "A Clockwork Orange". That scene in "Five Easy Pieces" is just classic: "You want me to hold the chicken?" "I want you to hold it betwen your knees!"

Why do I feel compelled to add something whenever I see this thread? "Give Me The child. Through dangers untold And hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here To the castle beyond the goblin city For my will is as strong as yours And my kingdom as great You have no power over me." Sarah - The Labyrinth

that's a great line, luv2read. I remember the first time I heard that I couldn't stop laughing!! Anyway, here's another: "You are not your job. You are not how much you have in the bank. You are not the contents of your wallet. You are not your f**king Khakis. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the all-singing, all-dancing cr@p of the world." Let's see there are soo many.....
Jesse:Well, you are one hell of a woman Zee:Don't swear! Jesse: Yes,ma'am! --American Outlaws
Ringo:"He's quoting the Bible. Revelations. 'Behold the pale horse and the man who sat on him was Death....and hell followed with him' " --Tombstone(although he misquoted the Bible)
Centwell:"And I know that back home, preacher be talkin' 'bout right and wrong. About the Lord and God and Jesus. But you know,if the Lord or God or Jesus be standin' here right now, they say, 'Centwell, you forget about all these promises, forget about what all anybody says. You forget about all them big Sunday fancy ideas, even what We tell ya. You just look up there. Did you ever see such a moon?" --Tigerland (if you saw the movie you would understand better but it's a great little speech)
Bozz:"In the country of the blind the one-eyed man is king" --Tigerland

Far too many fabby quotes to be pinned to one and far too many fims likewise. In fact some films are so full of great quotes it seems unfair just to choose one or two... still, here we go... - I donna suppose you could espeed things up?? - If you're in such a hurry, you could lower a rope or a tree branch or find something useful to do. - I could do that. I have some rope up here, but I do not think you would accept my help, since I am only only waiting around to kill you. - That does put a damper on our relationship and - You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you. - You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.
