I just saw this at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood this past Saturday night.
It blew me away. It was that good.

Anyone else seen this?

Saw it in NYC last year (on my birthday!). It was incredible. I knew that something special happened in the beginning, but I was so totally unprepared for exactly how extraordinary it was. The costuming and characters were absolutely incredible. Very easy to forget there were people on stage. You really start thinking of them as the animals. And, I love how the characters are out there in the audience with you. You become a part of their jungle. The birds are there beside you. The other animals are amongst you.

I can't recommend this one enough. Definitely worth the price of a ticket when the tour comes to your city. And, if you're in NYC, see the real thing. I understand that they weren't able to bring everything on the tour that's in the real thing.

By the way, if anyone's thinking "Yeah, right! Another "Cats" - just what I want to see!" (although, I have to say that I like "Cats" ), it's not at all. It's totally different. Even the cat characters are totally different between the two productions.
