I remember the one with the temple, if I'm thinking of the same one as you. They got around on a giant golden mechanical phoenix or something. I never really watched it, but my little sister did. I think it was called "The Mysterious City of Gold".

But it also reminds me of another couple cartoons that I absolutely loved:
Belle and Sebastian and The Little Prince

Does anyone else remember 'Jim'll Fix It'? I always wanted to be on that! They should bring it back!

Huh. I never saw that one, Lady. Obviously different than the one I mentioned. But then, by 1993 when that show was first aired Nickelodeon was no longer my station of choice, what with being a senior in high school and all.

To me, the best kid shows ever were "Sesame Street," "Captain Kangaroo," "Mister Rogers," "Noah's Ark," and "The New Zoo Revue."

How come many of you saw so many shows? There are just 7 days in a week and 24 hrs a day! Ally has 42 on the list with 'I'll think of more later'!?!?!? I mean, that must've been a long childhood.

Anyways, I'll have a pokemon and some ghostbusters for me.......

Ankur, fortunately childhoods last for many years (I'm 43 and still there!), but TV shows have limited lives.

Didn't anybody watch The Smurfs?

I loved the Smurfs... and Carebears, which are apparently making a big come back, I see the stuffed bears everywhere I go. They're so cute!

Anyone remember 'The Legend of Tim Tyler'? It was a badly dubbed series about a boy whose laugh is stolen by a baron...or something. Great stuff. Also a series about a load of children on a Greek island, I think it was called 'Kythera'.

I watched the 100 Greatest Kids TV Shows on Sky the other week. It brought back memories!

I'm upset that Fraggle Rock wasn't even in it though

Beee, Fraggle Rock was one of my favourites. Remember Marjorie, the trash heap?

I used to love Garfield and friends. It was one of the few cartoons that I watched religiously. One of my roommates has a few of the specials on tape, and we had a lot of fun last night watching them- the nostalgia value is terrific.
