This is not an original idea as my daughter mentioned that a website she visits has something like this. I thought it might be fun here too.

The idea is to try to take a photo each day, it can be of absolutely anything at all provided it is in good taste and not obscene in any way. Then upload to a hosting site, perhaps photobucket.com or some similar site (in fact you might recommend some provided they are free sites and suitable for our purposes). Then post a link here.

I am using photobucket.com for mine, I will see how it goes. You don't need to be an ace photographer, I most certainly am not.

We are going to allows actual images to be posted in this thread and only this thread as an experiment.

NOTE: Please ensure these are only your own photos, do not use anyone else's photos, and do not take them from elsewhere on the internet.

WARNING: It is your responsibility as to whether you somehow give away your location in your photographs, take care. Also be aware that your photos might be captured by other people who will not acknowledge the photos as belonging to you.

This fuchsia is called Garden News. It is not a typical bloom of that variety, they are nomally much fuller. This poor plant was grown from a cutting by me some 19 years ago and several years ago when I had some garden contractors to clear my garden they hadn't realised I had just pruned it so yanked it out as being a dead something! I was bereft as I couldn't get another locally, this one used to be huge and a wonderful sight. Last year, much to my amazement, it actually sprouted having been missing for at least two years, if not three. It is not large and the blooms are a bit puny but it deserves to live and it hasn't stopped flowering, normally just one or two blooms. I need to prune it very soon to encourage growth but thought I ought to honour it by taking a photo.

Here's a photo of my son riding a sheep up in the shed. At the local rodeo every year in May they have a sheep riding (Mutton busting) competition for the under 8's. Conor's just getting in some early practice

It's not exactly the weather for photography here at the moment, so here's a picture of the view from here to the sea on a clearer day. Unfortunately the most attractive bit of the town is hidden away behind the hill on the left.

I used to stay in Hastings, up on The Ridge.

Here is my effort today, a rotten cloudy day and I have not ventured out apart from the garden.

Pluto is my favourite Disney cartoon character. The children and grandchildren know this and I sometimes get presented with Plutos. Pluto corner:

It is a cold and damp day but I went out to take some photos. This one isn't very good but I thought even if it is technically rotten it might amuse Copago to see a new lamb here in its raincoat!

This picture was taken last night at a friends place.These are two raccoons who show up with their Mother regularly at my friends place.She feeds about 6 or 8 of them.This was taken through a open patio door and I was about a foot away from these two who seemed fine with having their pictures taken.

I haven't looked round the Old Town much since I came back to Hastings, so I went for a brief wander there this morning. I was glad to see that this Victorian ironmonger's shopfront survives.
