Went away this week-end to Badplaas and the clouds were amazing so took lots of pics of them.

As for me, well today my kids are eating in school so I have time to photograph how tidy my living room can look (even it it's only for a couple of hours until they get in) :P

It's been a lovely bright and breezy morning here. Here's a pic of the cliffs to the east of the town.

Today I went to look for the sheep on the common a short walk from my house. I found the sheep but also discovered that using the viewfinder isn't as easy as using the LCD window, most of the sheep were cut in half.

This is a rather fat dog I chatted to on the way to the sheep, I think he was deaf as well as fat as he wouldn't respond when I barked at him.

All these photos of greenery! Here's one for the first of March in Canada. The snow has been melting for a couple of days...

What a nice idea! To share photos is a wonderful way to better unify our Funtrivia family. We are all scattered in different corners of the world and now we can take a peek into the lives of our friends a bit more. Are there any "preferred" photo types or can we share whatever we'd like (of course within the guidelines of Funtrivia standards) - what I mean to ask is if there are 'themes' in place or just share what happens to be going on in our lives at the moment? I have loads of photos on my hard drive from past trips, etc. that I'd like to post, but at the moment I am unable to get new photos off my camera directly to my PC, just a temporary problem though....

I await a ruling from the judges!

The idea, as far as possible, it to actually take then upload a photo each day. It can be absolutely anything at all. It isn't going to be possible for some people to take a daily photo so we will be liberal and accept other photos too.

We would ask that images are kept fairly small, there is an edit and resize option above the photo in Photobucket. The size near to 300 is fine.

Also Martin will be putting an index in the About Photo-a-Day thread so you can click on each month with ease.

Hmm, tried that, but the photo keeps coming out the same when I try to edit my post.

It is too small now - you haven't been refreshing - try F5 key.

Did that, I'm still seeing the photo as big as it was when I first posted it.

It is currently about a quarter of the size of mine. I will put it in the account we opened for funtrivia and see if that works.

Edited to say that isn't working as you have taken it down to avatar size and it won't size upwards. You could upload it again then size it to 300, then post the new link. Failing that send it to me and I will do it.

A day full of colour, tradition and music in Welsh schools, to say nothing of dragons and daffodils as well!

This is my beloved old doggie - he was 12 in January this year. Photo was taken by a friend, 2 weeks ago, but I've seen that you were so kind as to accept older photos too.

I'm cheating a bit, as it isn't quite midnight, but thought I'd share this one, of the same location as my last. I call it "Twelve Hours Later".

This town is full of mock-Tudor buildings, but here and there you can find some genuine Tudor hiding away, like these cottages:

In July 2006 we celebrated our 30 Anniversary and went to the Drakensburg Mountains for a few days. The night before we left turned cold and in the morning there was snow on top of the mountains. You have to look carefully.

It's a horrid, rainy day here today. The view from my balcony is pretty dismal.



Here's a pretty orchid to brighten up the day. This particular one has been in flower for over 17 months, and no sign of it fading away just yet.

A miserable day here too, not ventured out other than to my garden between showers. Spring is definitely here, honest...

Not a bad day here. I went out for a bike ride with my brother. Here's the view from where we ate our lunch (it was cold and windy). On the left hand hill is Farnborough Abbey. To the right of that is Farnborough Hill Convent. I had occasion to go into both of these places during my time as a TV engineer:

Today I decided to head down to my local church, not that I attend. I took some photos of the church with the sea as a backdrop, I took a photo of a tombstone which caused me a little confusion (why was she deeply regretted by her husband and children?), I took photos of trees in blossom, of daffodils in flowers, a host of daffodils no less. Then I spotted this...
