I am afraid I am going to have to cheat today, I haven't been out and there is nothing in the garden worth snapping today. this was one I took in the garden centre the other day, a lot of primroses.

I think this photo-a-day idea is doing me good – it’s making me get out and about a bit, especially on a lovely spring day like this.

It’s not unusual to see old gates in the middle of towns that have outgrown their old boundaries, but sometimes the towns have shrunk. This 700-year-old gate in the middle of nowhere is part of the defences of the “ancient town” of Winchelsea between Hastings and Rye. The actual town – or village - is nearly a mile down the road.

I couldn't agree with you more, it is making me go out too. Tomorrow I am thinking of going into town to shop instead of in my local supermarket, camera in my handbag. I might also go to the far side of the island for a change.

What a great view of the Coathanger! Nice horses, too – I lived in the Clapham/Battersea area of London for a time and loved to see Young’s drayhorses delivering in that part of town.

This building is now the Freemasons’ local HQ. When it was built it was the Assembly Rooms for the fashionable new resort of St Leonards-on-sea, at a discreet distance from the nasty rough little fishing port of Hastings. The entertainments attracted all the A-list of the 1820s, even minor royalty (like Spearmint Rhino today perhaps).

A Sir Frank Whittle jet aircraft situated on a roundabout outside of Farnborough Airfield. Quite clever to land it there I think

The sun is shining today, and I found Katt in his favourite spot. He's ignoring me, but that will change when he wants his dinner.

Ferrari engine in one of our local car salesrooms. the owner is a racing enthusiast, and allows Ferrari owners to display their cars there!

I took a wander through town this afternoon and ended up in Royal Square. That building is the Royal Court and our 'Parliament'.

The postman arrived today with no less than four packages, yes, I had been busy on QVC again! One package, a pink feather boa from Hong Kong, was not expected and has caused the cat some confusion. I thought it only fitting that I ought to wear this latest addition to my wardrobe with a hat!

Tonight I had a small dilema as my Mouse died and I was franticlly looking through our old ones to see if I could find one that wasn't dead that would work till I could treat myself to a new one soon.
I had three of them on the bed and was trying one after the other and finally B.H said he had a brand new one I could have that he hadn't even unwrapped.Well as I was plugging the new one in I happened to glance over at the bed and there was Sara sniffing the old ones out looking to find the one that would be the most fun to play with.I grabbed the Camera and came up with these two shots.

Today’s Saturday, which means that I can use my old git’s free bus pass as early as I like; so I took an early-morning trip to Rye. You can see quaint pics of Rye everywhere on the web, but I can’t see any of this pillory, which stands in a rather tatty little patch of ground by the Ypres Tower.

A beautiful Spring day and time my greenhouse had a good sortout, it was a major mess. There is still some tidying to do but it is much, much better. This is is the rubbish removed.

I’ve had another eighteenth-century day in London at Somerset House. Strolling along the Embankment to get there, I was able to snap a nice simple memorial to W. S. Gilbert (top) and a rather more pretentious one to Sullivan (bottom).

Part of the reason I get an intermittent Freeview digital TV picture is because my aerial points right at the tallest one. Maybe it'll get a lightening strike one day (just joking )

It's a beautiful sunny day today, so I actually took my camera for a walk. This was taken from a little hilltop park five minutes from my house. The bridge crosses the Bay (there used to be a ferry) to what is known as "The County".

I went to a Aunt's and Uncle's Golden Wedding party today. A very nice time was had by all. Here is a picture of the cake
