i'm sure alot have been nominated...which in itself is recognition...

although she was very winning in 'A Walk to Remember'

let's just remember that not all good actors get oscar nods. just like not all good movies do either.

I think that Will Smith has done better than most of the others that have tried to go from rap star to movie star. Madonna is also a good actor and and singer. I loved her in the Womens Baseball league. I can think of the name. I think it is Major League. Even thought she had a small part it was good. OK...no Oscars here...but I do remember that Luciano Pavarotti starred(?) in a film called "Yes, Giorgio"(?) which I truly enjoyed...something about a leading lady and hot air balloons! GAWD, that was memorable! Anyway, it's a singer crossing over into acting!
