Does anyone here watch Ballykissangel?

I am a big fan of it but living in the U.S. I am usually quite behind in terms of episodes. The public TV station has to wait a certian amount of time before showing (because they must wait to recive) new episodes.

Can anyone tell me if Ballykissangel is still being made?
No spoliers please!

I can only tell you, Geek, that I, too, watch Ballykissangel!

It's always reruns...and reruns of reruns! But I do watch it!

I'm able to get two PBS stations, one from Seattle and one from Detroit...plus the Knowledge Network (B.C.). They all carry it at one time or another!

Don't know anything about new production, though!
We can only hope so!

lefois, you get my mom's station, PBS Detroit, she's part of the programming department. I looked it up on the BBC page for Ballykissangel, the last episode it has aired on April 15, 2001 , Series 6 - Episode 8, Smoke signals her is the link if you want to check it out Ballykissangel

MollyGrue, say it ain't so!

The last episode I saw was "Smoke Signals"
Is it the last one? I mean, is the show finished?
Are they making more?

Sorry to break the bad news but Ballykissangel is "no more". The last series didn't get the viewing figures and the BBC have stopped making it.

I loved that show, but really it was never the same after Assumpta and Peter left, was it? Remember when she died? Whoa, I really thought that she'd pull through and was waiting for someone to bring her back to life, but NO! She really died, I was flabbergasted!

I dunno know what's wrong with me, Copago...but I just love it when priests "go bad"...or are tempted to do so!

I LOVED Assumpta...Peter, too...and I got really yanked around with their session on the rocky, craggy coastline...admitting ...oh...whatever....

Then again...I loved The Thornbirds...for the same reason!

I'm from Dublin, but I went to a pub in Sligo and met Assumpta, kinda, and I also met your one from The Commitments if anyone has ever seen that. But I am not actually a big fan of Ballykissangel.

I used to watch BallyK and it was'nt the same without Assupta and Peter. I also have seen The Commitments I think that was better than BallyK.
