Oh that is funny. Got the first 40 in 2 minutes or so. Even though I tried to it systematically in head generally from West to East, it was hard to not repeat any, took me another minute of thinking to remember I forgot Arizona, the state immediately to the East of me. Luckily, working back alphabetically in my head, didn't take too long to see I forgot that one. Got it just a tad over 5 minutes, though.

I am just glad I remembered to write in my home state: THAT would have been embarrassing!

I got 26/50. I don't know anything about US states, so I was suprised I got that many!

If Mississippi gave Georgia a New Jersey, what would Delaware? Idaho, Alaska. hehee

I did it in 3 minutes...I find it's really easy if you do them in alphabetical order. It also makes it easier that the program writes them in that order as well.

I missed Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky,
Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska,
North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin.
As you can see, im not very good at Geography, though in my defence, the states i missed are pretty rubbishy. (kind of like the counties of East Anglia or Rutland in the UK).

I did it! With 5:05 left. I think that year of homeschooling my kids paid off.

This thread brings back fond memories for me. I was on Yahoo chat about 6 hours a day a couple of years ago and mainly in the Trivia rooms. Now if you have ever been there you`ll know that it`s real time chat format,so everything you type is instantly displayed and as others type their comments are shown below those previously typed and the page scrolls down. There were from time to time questions asked that required a knowledge of American states and American Presidents,after a while I got a little sick of the frequency of these types of questions and decided to improve my odds. I did the same for the Presidents questions as well. The result was that there were fewer of those types of questions as I had the lists typed up in my emotes and the lists just "boomed" onto the screen,sometimes other players computers were thrown into disarray, but it was fun for a while. Other people copied the idea and it got to the stage where all these lists would suddenly appear.

YES! I managed to get them all (with 23 seconds to spare). And I'm not even American! Althought I'm not going to lie... that was a hell of a stretch.
