Congrats Sue!
By the way, for those who do not know, AARP is the abbreviation for American Association of Retired People (Persons?). One gets reduction in prices for all sorts of things such as hotels/motels, restaurants, entertainment venues, etc.
It's not free, one pays an annual membership.

Groan, can you imagine,Photo-a-day, groaning under the weight of baby pics? Can you just picture the Lounge, littered with bragging posts about what Brian did today , how many teeth he has. Oh Vicky, what have you started here? Never mind, I guess you deserve it you old bat. Well done.

I received a phone call from my daughter yesterday evening. She wants to know if I will babysit in August 2008! Apparently they are coming over to a wedding so thought that as Brian will only be about eight months old they would make that their main holiday for next year. She said they will stay with me for a few days and then either all stay in a holiday apartment for a while OR leave Brian with me while they have a couple of nights in an hotel!
BTW, Brian is Brian as in Monty Python.

Eight months? He/she will be crawling and teething, so I really need that? Just think, all the books pulled out of the bookcase, pans from the cupboard, chasing the cat, eating the cat's food... Pehaps the cat will expire before then, he is nearly nineteen and is on borrowed time!

Thank you dear. Actually, I will be keeping my eye on the ecycle they run in our local newspaper, people give away all manner of things.
I just looked at today's paper and there is a cot, a pushchair, some unused baby bottles and three cockerels to name but a few things! There is even a greenhouse on offer. Once Brian arrives I will get a cot, I wouldn't want to tempt fate by equipping myself before then.

I guess I have a premature high. A girl I graduated high school with is coming to the Dallas area to visit other friends, and she said if she had time she'd visit with me as well. I haven't seen her in 11 years.

My low - A friend I have known for about twenty-nine years died this morning of cancer - so sad. She was sixty just a few weeks ago.
My high - The photograph of my grandchild's scan arrived in the post.

Oh, Sue . God rest her good soul. It's always so difficult to lose anybody close. About the arrival of the scan - now you can start the "Brian" scrapbook .
