Queen of the Damned is absolutley fantastic!! Aaliyah was excellent in the film, soundtrack is cool to with music by Marilyn Manson, Static X and loads more! It's probably the best Vampire film since Interveiw with the Vampire. check out www.queenofthedamnedmovie.co.uk

I saw that in the theatre a couple of months ago. My own comment afterwards was: "Well, that didn't suck quite as much as I expected it to." But then, I'm not particularly fond of bloody movies.

Of Anne Rice's vampire books, Queen of the Damned was the least interesting to me...in fact I found it too indulgent (and this if from a hyper-indulgent author). I don't understand why the Lestat film didn't come out first...wouldn't that have made sense? Also, despite the fact that Aaliyah was a fine singer, her acting leaves something to be desired, apparently. I can't imagine this film working...I'm afraid I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD before I inevitably am disappointed by what surely will be typical Hollywood fodder!
